Breaking records/stats thread

I really wanted this record, had to listen to 5 live in work and now I’m home just flicking through match reports all mentioned the 15 game run , and had a moment just thinking
Manchester City football club have just won 15 straight games !! The same club who suffered Halifax, Shrewsbury...etc relegation to the third division and all the other dark times we’ve had to endure . I don’t take anything at city for granted never ever but blimey this is Manchester City Football Club doing this !!!
Absolute madness.

We City fans are enjoying the longest winning run in the history of English professional football (all 4 divisions) ... incredible stuff !

We're now even officially better than the legendary Preston North End side of the 1880s & 1890s !

Absolute madness.

I think many of us remember when we were lucky(VERY) to win 15 games a SEASON, IN ALL COMPETITIONS !

Unless I'm missing something, there is massive irony in a lot of reporting of these records tonight. Guardiola can't have won 200 matches if City have just set the new consecutive wins record as the 200 includes the wolves 'draw' which was part of the 20 game run.

Either the win record is 20 and Guardiola has won 200 or Guardiola is a few short of 200 and the record of 15 was set tonight?
A few short? If you include Wolves, his win record is 200.
Exclude Wolves it is 199. The other 4 games were won.

Impressive list but they missed off “Most gallons of piss boiled”

A lot of these are actually all-time English football records.

While most goals scored in a league season isn’t a record (I think Villa scored 127 goals in a league season once), we hold the record for goals scored in all comps in a season.

Do we know the 200 definitely includes the wolves, chelsea and liverpool games as wins rather than draws in his tally? i.e has he actually won more than 200 games?

it is fucking bullshit. I don't mind them counting it however they want but being specific about it, and not ignoring the other one.

We hold the record for the most wins in a row in all competitions at 20. We also hold the record for the most wins in a row in all competitions within 90 minutes. We also possibly hold the record for the most wins within 3.7 minutes, if anyone wants to be enough of a dobber to count those too.
