He came on. That's enough for most.

Did nothing great but did nothing bad either, he got 30 minutes against a championship side with the game won not sure why anybody would expect anything more than what he did.

"flatter to deceive" is the perfect surmisation of FFS, just move him on in the summer he is wasting a squad number , one decent game in ten is not what the team needs.

Although I’m not as critical as some, he certainly does frustrate.

Despite obvious talent and good stats, he just so rarely stands out or changes the course of a game.

He must have made more than 100 appearances for us now. I wonder how many times he’s won Bluemoon’s MotM vote? I bet it’s no more than 3 or 4. Fewer than almost anyone.

One thing I’ll say though. He’s nowhere near as greedy as some say. But lacking bottle? Yes.

I had high hopes for Mahrez but I’m just not seeing it anymore.

he has shown glimpses but he’s 30 years old this month and has played 7 seasons in the PL so it’s not good enough.

Mahrez rarely takes over a game. Scored some nice goals, v Brighton, winner v Spurs, great goals dribbling through defenders v Chelsea and rags but just too inconsistent. Thought he had a bad game vs Livarpool and as soon as he come off we destroyed them.

His role in the team should be just as a rotational option and never starting an important game. If there’s a buyer in the summer we should let him go.

I don't like scapegoating of players and there's no need to be rude about them.

Mahrez just wants to play every game and finds it hard when he doesn't. That is quite different to not trying etc. Last season he was arguably or second best player after KDB.

Personally, I can’t resist a titter at some of the colourful posts. I can understand your feelings if people are abusive but have noticed you tend to get touchy about any criticisms of players or manager. It’s a fan forum, not a fan club.

The man’s paid astronomical wages, is bang off form and - crucially - has no hero points in the bank. He quit Leicester at the drop of a hat and shows neither balls nor commitment. Rightly or wrongly that makes him a ready target.

I'm critical of him as I am Sterling or Mendy or was with Stones, Rodri, Walker etc. I want him replaced asap - same as I wanted various other players replaced over the years. It's all about opinions. And mostly I think the criticism of various players is lighthearted.

I agree with you though that we should not be rude. Somehow we have to find the balance. More than rudeness to players or managers I hate when I see disrespect amongst posters to each other. At least we mean nothing to the managers and players. But seeing abuse to your own post is hurtful imo. At least it has sometimes been to me. I think it's just common decency to be thoughtful.

Have you seen that Mahrez lost 175k in a credit card bank fraud ? OK, a week and a half wages for him, but frankly insulting to most Blues who earn a tiny fraction of that. I will support any player who plays in Blue, but that kind of stupidity really annoys me.
