Penalty Taker

Who should take penalties if Haaland is not on the pitch?

Ederson on penalties is a legitimately good bet. Think of all the things that need to happen:

1. It has to hit the post or be saved and not go behind
2. It has to fall perfectly to an opponent
3. The opposition have to actually score it, which is harder than it looks judging by how rarely anyone actually scores into empty nets when 'keepers come up for corners (almost never).

The risks are small and worth taking if it means we don't keep missing them.
Also, fouling as soon as possible if the worst happens and the opponents retrieves the ball should normally only be a yellow. It's cynical no end, but it's not exactly denying a clear goalscoring oppotrunity if one is 80m away from the goal, is it? :)

If he takes them he just has to hammer them, it’s much safer him blazing it over the bar than a save or hitting the post and the opposition countering.

Until he misses one.
Let's be real though, he won't be taking them

Zack Steffen on Ederson:
"I would say yeah he is the best penalty taker at Man City because he kicks so damn hard – there's no way a keeper could react to it. He kicks so hard, so fast, it's insane. It's insane, nobody knows how he does it."

That's good enough for me...he's the man!

It's obvious it's zinchenko, accurate as fuck and ice cold, he should have been on them as soon as pep decided he is a regular
Seem to vaguely remember something about him missing in a shoot out ?
Cost Ukraine a place in the Euros and him having death threats....?
