Spurs (H) Post Match Thread

The obvious aside, no; ‘duplicitous’. :-)
It describes its object in a suitably derogatory and precise way.

It also sets the tone for, enhances and amplifies the words around it; by dint of it being so specific and unemotional it also suggests that the full weight of its partner noun is that much more credible and warranted due to the carefully measured (and therefore seemingly more objective) delivery.

All in all, it turns what could be a throwaway insult into a deliciously pejorative phrase. Bravo.
Furthermore, the deep, initial assonance melds perfectly with the partnered sibilance, creating a delicious morsel to roll around the tongue.

I’ve seen some comments about a soft penalty - wtf. Clear as daylight although Rodders scuffed it phew.
Raheems contribution to the second was awesome especially the final pass.
Eddys pass for the third was just sublime.
Onwards and upwards

come on, wheres the alternative comentary video, was looking forward to this one

Gundogan has really stepped up to the plate this season. Perhaps David being around prevented him reaching his peak potential with us?
Any news on his groin injury?

I really don't know how Lamella avoided 4 bookable offences (one borderline red) before actually getting booked.

Has that odious **** Lamela landed yet after his two footed studs up out of control lunge? The one that wasn’t deemed worthy of even a yellow card, or a VAR intervention or even a comment from the commentator? Fucking disgusting
I genuinely thought the ref was taking his time giving a yellow because he wanted an update from VAR as to whether it was a red.

To give nothing was outrageous followed by giving the snide **** two further talkings to in that first half and still not giving a yellow. One of ours would have been off for a combination of that behaviour.

It appears there is light at the end of the dark Tunnel.

Highly likely this seasons Premier League winners fans will get to celebrate in some capacity.

Trivia question of the future "Which team once won the League, and never even got to celebrate it after waiting 30 years ?

Big Clue = Their fans mostly have 6 fingers, invented in breeding, and have unhealthy fixations with Candles
Never mind. They might get the chance again in another 30 years. Maybe even without the asterisk.

The spuds players surrounding the ref when he awarded the pen. I thought they were supposed to be carding players who did that! Kane ran half the pitch to remonstrate and Lamela puts his hand on refs shoulder to get his point across. Ref should have yellow carded at least those two
Just following Jose’s orders to be “cunts” on the pitch.

Quite unusual to see that behaviour now and soft as fuck from the ref (though it’s understandable as he is a weak little prick).

Surely to goodness, if we win this season's title and are able to have a parade up Deansgate and whatnot,we'd ask The Dippers if they wanted to share. They'd do it if the boot was on Virgil's foot rather than Raheem's ankle.

I'm NOT a happy clapper but the fact we are conceding very few goals means it will take a mess up of Devon Loch proportions for us not the League now.

Yesterday, we faced the last team to beat us. That was 12 weeks ago, since when we've played 23 games in all competitions. We've drawn three and won the rest, scoring 55 goals and conceding six. Moreover, we've started to look in our play as imperious as those results suggest.

The great thing for me is that a couple of years ago, we were wondering how we'd possibly replace Vinny, Merlin, Sergio and Fern without a significant drop in our quality. Well, two of them have left already, the third has barely played in the current run, while the last has started only seven games in the same period.

We're seeing a new great City side evolve before our eyes. Sign the right two or three players in the summer and we'll have a group capable of achieving a level of performance that the rest of the PL will find hard to live with in the coming seasons.
Haarland, take note.
