Spurs (H) Post Match Thread

Superb performance tonight and coming on the back of the Liverpool game, it's clear the only team that can stop us winning the league is ourselves.

I say it every week now, but the clean sheets just give us such a boost. Stones was like a Rolls Royce today. When he is on form, he's right up there with the best in the world. Cancelo and Laporte were also class and a special mention to Zinchenko. I've said plenty of times there's better left backs around, but he just keeps going. Great attitude and must be a very intelligent player as he has seen off plenty of competition.

Rodri and Bermardo put another shift in but wow, Gundogan. Quite simply he is the best midfielder in the world at the moment. Such a clever player and it's astonishing we've had to endure the "old" Gundogan for so long.

I am not one for commenting on refs but I will make an exception for that tosser. That was a useless performance. The lunge by Lamela(?) early in the first half was a straight red yet he gets a hard word, not even a yellow! It was about an hour before that scumbag was booked. The penalty was so soft and I'd have been annoyed if it was given against us. In the second half, Lamela was fouled by Jesus but awarded Jesus a free kick for a"push" - absolute joke. He was all over the show and missed fouls or awarded free kicks for nothing.

Great to see Liverpool in free fall as well and there's about 9 teams in that battle for 4thso they are going to have to play at 100% now till the end of the season. Klopp's got a big job on his hands rescuing them and I think he will go to Real at the end of the season.

Great win. It has sent a strong message to the league now who's the favourites.

Based on that footage, and on what he's saying in interviews, it almost seems like he is working on victimizing himself and his players, telling them it's not their fault they suck, it's due to the hectic scheme, due to the fact that they got a few hours less time before this game than we did.
It has nothing to do with poor management. Of course not.

I don't know about you, but as his player I would not buy into that bull nonsense shit at all, nor would I respect it one bit.
He's become more concerned with how he is perceived after a loss than the loss itself. Almost as if he works more on his potential replies to a loss than how to avoid one.

Heads gone.

Two of our tough games chalked off and they have gone much better than I expected, given both teams have had a bit of a hoodo over us recently. I expected us to drop points so massive credit to the team.

Mourhino really is a horrible whining smacked arse. The sooner he fucks off again the better.

I'm glad Pep said this, he's right.

"Is Rodri the taker now? No. I would say I admire the courage to take the penalty but it was not a good penalty. I am not laughing, I am concerned about this. We will have a real specialist to take them with quality. We have to practice."

"When I talk about Ederson and penalties, you see his assist, 60-70 yards, well then he will score from 12 yards!"

On a footnote I have no love for Klopp but that commentator was a ****, the man is obviously still affected by the loss of his mother, who wouldn't be, he could have been a bit kinder.

Never been so wrong about 2 players - Rodri and Cancelo. Thought Rodri was too slow, clumsy for the prem - how wrong was I, he is morphing into Sergio Busquets. Seems to have gained a bit of pace too. And Cancelo in this role with the freedom to come inside is thriving. I wasn't expecting such a comfortable win.
