Two of ours are outstanding - Saints (H) due to Carabao Cup Final and Wolves (H) due to FA Cup Quarter Final. This is the week we finally catch up the table in terms of our previous two postponements (when we play Everton A) ...
I guess these should be slotting in those March 2/3 and 9/10 midweeks. That'd still leave us two more midweek slots later for the FA Cup Semi and the Final should we get there.
Expecting TV Picks for March to come out along with all these games fitting in at some time this week.

Do we really need a fucking break for international friendlies this season of all seasons when half the foreign players won't even be allowed to travel and half the games will end up getting postponed for covid reasons? Ridiculous, if they need warm up games play them when the seasons over.
Thought this myself whilst looking at our fixtures. Absolute fucking joke to have this.
No one knows when they'll announce either of them. But common sense would suggest that it should be this week alongside the TV picks for March and then FA Cup QFs might be finalized a day or two after that.
Looking at the past dates on how they have announced for each month so far this season, I'd guess any of the three days Wed, Thu or Fri this week around 4pm is very likely.
I agree. I think all clubs should simply refuse to send players this break and force cancelations across the whole window. Countries are in lockdown, people can't travel back for funerals (Klopp's case in point) so just stick to playing domestically. Even Champions League games are all disrupted and being moved around countries even when they're all on the same continent ...

i would pull all the players out of the internationals, they need to rest, because at the end of the season there is another big tournament then onto next season,

We don't have to let anyone go to a country on the red list so that's the Portuguese and South American contingents out anyway, Brazil and Argentina won't have any senior players for this break as none of them are based domestically, it's just brain dead to have it.
I've read he wasn't allowed by the club, as the time it would have taken up, including quarantining there, would have meant he misses a number of games, as i understood it.
As harsh as that makes the club sound, he is still totally a victim of the circumstances unfortunately.
Two games already in pipeline (Wolves from FA QF and Southampton from Carabao Final). Assuming we progress in FA cup, the semi-final AND final would have two further postponements. Unless we can play the already-postponed matches before the scheduled matchday, with international break and Euro nights I think there are only two midweeks free after the FA QF: the week between FA semi final and the Carabao final, and last week of the season.

That's not magically going to create more days in the week.
I'm presuming there's some PL rule that means you can't play more than (say) 2 games a week?

The next 7 league games are probably more important than any others so far this season. Get through them with decent results, and I think we will have seen everyone off, hopefully leaving us to concentrate on the cup’s.

No it won’t create more days in the week, but it would give us the opportunity to play those who won’t be getting play time in the cup’s. Also the academy can fill most of the team if league is wrapped up early, leaving the players we need rested for the big challenges.

Although that's a thought, Pep strongly believes in the maintenance of the integrity of the league competition. Weaker, yes but we won't be rolling the EDS out for a league game.
