I meant to say I follow his ideas ever since he took over Barcelona A, I didn’t mean to say he’s stuck there or trying to go back there. I have read both of Marti Perarnau’s books about him twice, and one of them is literally called Pep Guardiola: The Evolution.

Oh! well why didn't you say so.

None of us have a clue really. City and Pep are insanely difficult to predict.

None of us know for certain the transfer plans, none of us know for certain the tactical plans moving forwards either.

We can guess and we can assume. There will always be the odd person with possible inside information (I believe Rascal posts in good faith), but that's as close to concrete as we can get, and that's still a way off.

I think posters saying they know definitively one way or another what will happen is a bit arrogant. Especially with transfers. I don't know a single regular poster in this sub-forum who's been wrong fewer than a million times over the last few years when it comes to predictions.

100% this.

People will mock the idea of not signing a striker but they have no idea of Sergio is staying, what the financial situation is, if anyone is willing to sell anyone worthwhile for a reasonable fee and so on.

If you were to tell someone on here a year ago that we had no intention of signing a left back, they'd have bitten your head off. If you go back further and were to tell them that we wouldn't be signing a Kompany replacement straight away then they'd have done the same thing.

Anyone pretending they know what's going on is a chancer. I just appreciate people posting what they've heard, regardless of how far fetched it sounds.

Interesting development and maybe a bit of a good news for us.
Marco Rose decides to leave Gladback at the end of the season to manager BVB. He is one of the best upcoming managers who made this Gladback team really formidable.
Will this effect Haaland and Sancho (couldn't give a fuck about him tbh) plus our match against Gladback in the UCL may become slightly easy.
They now know their manager is leaving!
Let's see.

Can't see a managerial change making any difference to either player at this stage, they'll have made their minds up already. At the end of the day the reason Dortmund are such an attractive option for young prospects is their reputation as a stepping stone club, doubt either player has ever envisaged themselves being there longer term and Dortmund don't have the money to finance a big project and change their minds.

I have heard from a pretty good source that we will not be signing Haaland. In fact the source said there are no plans at all to sign a new forward.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up, i rarely ever post what my source says, but he has never once been wrong.

Don't ask who it is either, i will not say, i trust the man and he is a good fella whose company I enjoy,
Was the source Jeremy Corbyn :-)

You don’t have any say in the matter. We’re not going to not sign a striker just in case Torres becomes a world beating centre forward next season.

People are forgetting, it’s super important to improve the team the summer after winning the league title. You need top tier recruitment to keep the ball rolling and keep things fresh.

It wouldn't surprise me if some of this comes down to how Aguero finishes the season. We've basically never proactively replaced one of our big guys...if Sergio (somehow) comes back, looks really good, and wants to stay another year or two are we really telling him no? Unfortunately I think the time has come, but I'm not sure if the club sees it the same way.

Supposedly, managerial stability (or potential lack of it) was the reason why Haaland chose to go where he is now as opposed to going to utd. Him and his advisors at the time were hesitant about the longevity of OGS at utd, so it is something that may impact on him....another feather in our cap as we have a stable manager and will also have a succession plan for when Pep does leave which will mean little change in playing style of play or management style I would guess..... esp when you consider even the youngest academy lads are coached to play the way the first team does.

That'll work against Dortmund as well, they must be going through a manager a season since Klippety left. Said it before Txiki is a cap in our feather in this regard, as long as he's about a managerial change won't mean major upheaval, every time a manager leaves the rags, dippers, spurs etc they're ripping everything up and starting afresh.

Hard to see a manager who wouldn't fancy Haaland at this point...so can't see how it would make a difference anymore.

True but paper boy plays attacking football and they've worked well together before, what striker would want to play there if they went for another Maureen? Plus, strikers need to get into a rhythm, difficult to do when you're constantly adapting to a new style.

Anyone other than the confirmed ITK’s on here are talking shite.

Just wait and see, Pep is on course to win his 3rd league title in 5 years. A champion in 60% of his time in England.

He knows what he’s doing.

“Confirmed ITK’s”? Really? Because there are those speaking on both sides of this issue, saying it will happen and saying it won’t happen. Do you make a distinction? Lol

What that means?
Still early to predict whats happens in the summer, many early rumours that Haaland is Citys first choice. So for we see what happens in the summer.
