I know a couple of people who are in their 40’s and early 50’s who have been invited for vaccine and they have no idea why. One has very mild seasonal asthma but the other has no ailments at all.
Swingers have been classified as vulnerable.

The Bristol variant has been found in Moston. Residents of parts of Moston and Harpurhey have been asked to get a test at the testing station which will be open tomorrow from 12. It's on the car park behind where the Ben Brierly pub was.

My postcode is in that area so I'm going to get tested tomorrow afternoon. If your showing no symptoms you can just show up. If your have symptoms you have to book an appointment

Anyone living in the M9 4 postcodes and M40 5 and M40 9 postcodes are advised to go

GM Scoreboard:

741 up from 654, 42.7% of North West Total which rose by 208 to 1735. 0.1% fall on yesterday.

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v Today:- 1100 v 831 v 736 v 741 - Slowing down to a bit of a standstill .

Pop Score is cases across whole pandemic v 100,000 people - rises daily but lower the better.

Weekly Pop is same measure across last 7 days only. Can rise or fall depending on if more cases or less occur today v the same day last week.

Either way Up is bad, down is good.

Manchester 138 – up from 137. Total 48, 434. Weekly 1029. Pop score up 25 to 8761. Weekly Pop up 1 to 186.

Wigan 106 up from 88. Total cases 26, 446. Weekly 617. Pop score up 33 to 8047. Weekly Pop up 10 to 188.

Bolton 74 - up from 68. Total cases 23, 281. Weekly 630. Pop score up 25 to 8096. Weekly Pop down 16 to 219.

Tameside 74 - up from 44. Total cases 16, 318. Weekly 453. Pop score up 33 to 7198. Weekly Pop up 9 to 200.

Salford 72 - up from 49. Total cases 21, 060. Weekly 537. Pop score up 28 to 8137. Weekly Pop up 3 to 208.

Rochdale 70 - up from 39. Total cases 19, 210. Weekly 405. Weekly Pop up 8 to 182

Stockport 66 - up from 65. Total cases 18, 746. Weekly 550. Pop score up 23 to 6389. Weekly Pop down 1 to 188. An OK day for Stockport with 11 of last 12 sub 100 but like much of GM struggling to get much lower.

Oldham 60 up from 57. Total cases 21, 062. Weekly 438. Pop score up 25 to 8883. Weekly Pop down 4 to 185.

Bury 47 - down from 66. Total cases 15, 703. Weekly 386. Pop score up 25 to 8222. Weekly Pop down 10 to 202.

Trafford 34 - down from 44. Total cases 15, 182. Weekly 328. Lowest weekly total in GM. Trafford also has the 3 lowest daily numbers in GM in 2021 to date. Far away the best in the county. Pop score up 14 to 6396. One of the lowest rises in weeks. Trafford eats another 7 from Stockport despite there having a good day and the lead now all but gone at just 7. Tomorrow Trafford may finally hold all the 'best in GM' titles for the first time. Weekly Pop down 3 to 138.. Far ahead in best weekly Pop score. Only problem Trafford has is getting lower than the very low.

Pop Scores Today v 7 Days ago // Up/down over past week (lowest numbers best - numbers going up bad and going down good)

Trafford 138 v 168 // down 30

Rochdale 182 v 218 // down 36

Oldham 185 v 216 // down 31

Manchester 186 v 239 // down 53

Stockport 188 v 209 // down 21

Wigan 188 v 200 // down 12

Tameside 200 v 180 // UP 20

Bury 202 v 214 // down 12

Salford 208 v 244 // down 36

Bolton 219 v 302 // down 83

Bolton though still at the bottom is getting on top of things and big week to week improvement.

A lot of bunching after Trafford far and away ahead of the rest.

They should find out what it is doing right and bottle it!

I’m M9 8 but I’ll have to change my running routes to avoid those areas now..

If you watched Marvellous the Neil Baldwin Story you'll be aware that for all his faults Lou Macari has a heart. I heard and saw this - I had no idea he ran a homeless shelter but fuck me this is awesome - hats off to the man

Yes fair plays to him. He is well known in Stoke for his charity work, and doesnt sing and dance about it.

My dad get his text about the vaccine and I'm well happy. Hes 61 and in Urmston. I know my mum has been very very hesitant and I was very down about it all this morning but I think my dad not being arsed and it becoming very real due to his text has made her confront it. Long chat on the phone today and she's facing up to it now I think. Shows how damaging the conspiracy theories are though as she was asking if we needed it really (me and my missus) as she'd read some stuff about infertility etc due to vaccines. Mad nonsense but facebook is a curse for this misinformation shite. Obviously reassured her though. Anyway, her 60th is at the end of March. Starting to feel she may be protected now by then and I could perhaps hug for the first team I a year...on her 60th! Amazing.

Great news mate, and 100% behind you on the scare mongering by the idiots. My dads 77, but contracted Covid a few weeks back, he spent a night in hospital but is on the road to recovery now.

He’s been advised by the consultants to wait 28 days before getting the vaccine so I’ve booked him in for Day 29. He’s been reluctant because some of the rumours and wanted the “English one only”, had a chat and he’s sorted his head out now thankfully!

A couple of guys at work around the same age as me - 50 - have been invited too. One is diabetic and the other has asthma though I don't think it's severe, so that's probably why they've both been offered it. In light of this, another bloke on the shop floor who is 63 spat his dummy out yesterday about these two being offered it before him. Later on, somewhat coincidentally the dummy spitter got a text asking him if he'd like to take the vaccine. Suddenly he was like a dog with 2 dicks and telling us all the good news. Apparently, he had to reply yes or no and since replying yes he hasn't heard anything more. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a scam text! Thing is, I don't know why he's getting so agitated about others being offered it before him anyway. He and virtually all the rest of us at work tested positive for Covid just over 4 weeks ago so we're probably less at risk of catching it again than most other people in the country at the moment.

What's the score with travel to and from Scotland?
Got in work this morning and I got a queue of tankers from Aberdeen, all bringing drilling mud from the oil rigs, all said they are going back to bring more.

The not receiving a vaccine within 28 days of a positive Covid test isn't advice but policy for everyone by the way. It's one of the questions I was asked when I had my first shot on Monday.

The drop in vaccine supply doesn't seem to be that big. Figures in the press suggest that the Astrazeneca supply is unaffected and represents 2/3 of supply anyway, and that the Pfizer supply is like to fall by 1/3rd . So a fall of 1/9th or 11% overall for a period of 2 weeks.

That’s probably true, but I think maybe the pfizer supplies will be held back in case it’s more than 2 weeks, to make sure there is enough for second jabs that will be meeded in increasing numbers the next 2 -4 weeks as nearly all the December early January first doses were Pfizer and the 12 weeks will be up for them over the next few weeks.

The date on the calculator continues to fall slightly (moved 3 days closer in the last week into March for me) obviously it's only an indication however whoever has set the parameters doesn't see any issues with supply.
