Where does your data for the nations other than England come from, please ?

I'm sure your right. NHS England has 12,449 in beds in today's report (25/2); been plummeting 500+ a day. So 14, 862 sounds logical.

Irritating that the Gov UK figures are out of step with NHS England data, understating our great progress.
The daily briefings from the nations across the day in here supply the hospital data

I update these daily as they happen and give week to week comparisons on the numbers in here.

They then put it on their own dashboards by mid afternoon.

But for some reason Gov UK never updates much of this data quickly or usually at all until next day or even 3 days later at weekend.

England post theirs around 6 pm each evening. Weekends included. So the Gov UK often do not add that until next day or again for 3 days over weekend.

For instance Gov UK right now still only has yesterdays England patient number of 13,007 not todays of 12, 449. Same with all the other England hospital data as it appears an hour or so after they update the site on cases and deaths. They do sometimes update the England hospital data around 9 or 10 pm. But not always.

There is no real reason they do not keep this up to date. It is not hard to access. But I guess they work office hours and Gov UK just seem not to regard it as important enough to need to be up to date I presume. And the media will take the easy option of going off what it publishes as the most up to date when it almost always isn't.

Watched a report on France24 this Morning about the Vaccine roll out, they were following a GP who had to go to his local Chemist's to pick up the Vaccines, the Chemist gave them to him in paper bag like prescriptions come in and just said keep them upright, he then went back to his surgery had a look on his PC for vulnerable patients phoned the first one up and said do you want the Vaccine, if so can you come in now WTF? If that's going on all over France they are in shit Street

That sounds much better than the procedure they first adopted. Only doctors could dish out the jabs and you had to have a consultation first during which the doctor ran through a 40 plus page Covid information booklet/War & Peace. You then had a five day cooling off period and if you still wanted to go ahead then you made another appointment to receive it.

After doing just over 300 nationally in the first few days they realised that it wasn't going to work..

Yes. You put in your name, date of birth, medical practice and post code and you get a choice of having it at Clarendon or Irlam
Yes, just clicked through to the main page to see what happened and it is indeed 50+. Well spotted. As usual, nothing’s easy in our family - my wife has told me to wait a few days till she’s got an appointment out of the way this week.

Anyway, we’ll be sorting this out in the next week.
