The only thing left for @BlueHammer85 to do it a Top 100 runners on Bluemoon list.
Might have to be a top 10 based on numbers...
You’ll need your phone for calls I think mate but not 100% certain. I only take my phone or listen to music on anything over 10k now, can’t be arsed with the hassle for under an hours running.Got a question, and this will probably sound ridiculously stupid to most but I'm suddenly realising that I'm now nowhere up to date with technology and gadgets like I once was haha...
For someone who loves music whilst running, but hates carrying a phone, do air pods or galaxy buds or such like allow me to listen to Spotify playlists and stuff without my phone being present, or do I also need a smart watch or something else to be able to do this? And, in the event of an emergency (or more likely, me going over on one of my chocolate ankles again), can I make or receive calls with said air pods/galaxy buds or smart watch etc, again without actually having my phone with me?
Sort of running related so hope this is considered the right thread, I'm lost with all this stuff haha, I just know I don't like carrying a phone about when I'm running even if its strapped to my arm or whatever, its not ideal. Cheers.

Search for Shokz headphones on Amazon. They Bluetooth link to any modern phone.Got a question, and this will probably sound ridiculously stupid to most but I'm suddenly realising that I'm now nowhere up to date with technology and gadgets like I once was haha...

Many Garmin watches can download Spotify playlists, as can the Sony NW-A105, although the Sony is quite expensive.
My personal combo is Aftershocks headphones with Sony NW-A105 playing either Audible books or Spotify in offline mode.
Apple watch i use and air pods. I download music, podcasts, music onto my watch and do it that way. Can be a bit fiddly getting it onto my watch at first, but thats probably more me than the devices. Like you say, bit of a pain in the ass carrying your phone round all the time.Got a question, and this will probably sound ridiculously stupid to most but I'm suddenly realising that I'm now nowhere up to date with technology and gadgets like I once was haha...

Yeah, lovely day for a run... managed a 5km PBBeautiful day out there for running. Nice cool breeze but still warm in the sun. Managed another 10k and felt good. Always feels better when the weather is good.
I hated running with a phone too, but I found having a running belt was best way and you wouldn’t even know a phone is in there as it’s just like part of your belly!Got a question, and this will probably sound ridiculously stupid to most but I'm suddenly realising that I'm now nowhere up to date with technology and gadgets like I once was haha...

I went through this when I first started out, the only answer I found was that to go phoneless you will either need a smartwatch or somesort of mp3 player and some bluetooth headphones. For someone who loves music whilst running, but hates carrying a phone, do air pods or galaxy buds or such like allow me to listen to Spotify playlists and stuff without my phone being present, or do I also need a smart watch or something else to be able to do this?
