United (H) Post Match Thread

Most emotion shown all day claiming a handball on 95 minutes says it all. LOL

You fucked up today Pep.

KDB to the bench. Jesus to Italy.

Where we lost it...

KDB playing today - big name player cannot be dropped and all
And our wingers not tracking back effectively
Nor our full backs attacking their flanks

An uncharacteristic start to the first half and a surprise goal to our much-loved visitors. After the thirteen minute mark, Pep Guardiola's well-oiled machine slipped into gear and it was now City's turn to dominate; and dominate they did. To such an extent, United bizarrely, began wasting time and in general, look tired and "rattled" at the end of the first half.

A fine goal from England's best left back at present means that its City who are now "rattled" as the second half progresses. From then on, a disjointed performance up to the seventieth minute but there's still hope in me that the team will find a way to score the goals needed. A nice cross from Walker to a woefully out-of-form Raheem Sterling could have made for an interesting final ten minutes.

Alas, the might Manchester City lose to an average manager and team who have the "hoodoo" over them; Wigan spring to mind as another. The unbeaten record is over but this is still the best team in England by a handsome margin and who should wrap up the Premier League - and possibly other trophies - sooner rather than later.

One observation that our esteemed manager must be aware of and that's Sterling's impotence against Bissaka. Maybe, just maybe, it should be the young maestro Foden next time; in order to pose Bissaka a different set of problems. Sorry, two: United needed that victory in order to keep at bay the pack chasing CL places. With hindsight, it showed with the performance - players were second best at times - and the result.

Anthony Taylor should be put in the stocks. Wanker every time.

team selection at fault today. The slow stodgy players was never the right approach. Most on here called it.

evidence that mahrez and Jesus don’t cut it for the starting eleven for the biggest games.

We were absolutely pathetic in front of goal today, and also looked scared at times of their pace on the counter.

We could have had a couple with a better striker on the pitch, but then again so could they.

overall a fair result.

We need to take our medicine, go again against Leicester and put this behind us.

Think Cancelo has probably played himself out of the next CL game with that perfomance, why on earth do you press the opposition left back which the left winger is already stood right next to you!!

Some terrible performances in there today. We need to get back to the January form and that means Foden and Bernardo in the team and KDB out. Also Sterling has cooked his goose for me, what does he actually do? He doesn’t take people on, he’s woeful in front of goal and today he couldn’t even pass to a blue shirt most of the time. Can’t understand his constant inclusion in the team, while Foden gets dropped if he doesn’t score or assist a goal after a start.

The wax on wax off shit is no good if you can't motivate a team for the big games.

Still missing a proper forward who can finish well.
