The Harry and Meghan fuss

Just gammon bait from the papers. Nothing anyone should care about. The fact certain sections of the media care more about this than Andrew speaks volumes though
Piers Morgan was right this morning they are attention seeking she is a social ladder climber and Andrew should be sent over there for questioning

Not sure how much further up the social ladder she can go?

All joking aside I honestly don’t think she really understood the world she was marrying in to, and she was a perhaps a bit naive and took the bait, fair play to Harry for standing by her though.

She’s still a bit of a tit for accusing someone of racism without having the bollocks to name them. And their idea of out of the public eye is a bit fucking mental ‘n all

Maybe Meghan heard a member of staff quoting Harry speaking about their baby's skin colour. After all he does have form for racially stereotyping people given what he said to Stephen Amos a few years back?

I'm not sure why they feel they need "their" side known.
If they wanted out, then they have done that. Just go about their business and people will soon forget them.
I don't blame her for wanting nothing to do with the royal family. But you would have to be a bit thick to not realise what dating a royal might involve.

It's very easy to play the victim. If these allegations are true, name names and report it.
I can totally believe these things did happen.
However, there is every chance they didn't or are exaggerated.

Why mention being cut off for money. I thought they wanted to be financially independent?
They also didn't want to be part of the royal family, yet are now moaning about having titles?
Even the fact that her son isn't entitled to be a prince (yet) hasn't stopped the allegation that it is based on race.

Mental health is very important. If she was having issues, why couldn't she (as an adult) seek her own help?

I have no love for the royal family. However, i do respect the Queen for how she has conducted herself over the years.
The same couldn't be said for the rest.

Unfortunately, i have only ever felt that Meghan has been playing games from the very start.
Seems to want to have her cake and eat it.

From HIGNFY. :-)

Harry and Meghan’s escape from the limelight hits a small snag after they accidentally record a two-hour interview that will dominate the global news cycle until April.

I can see the logic behind it though.

How did Sterling stop the press campaign against him? He didn't hide away and hope it disappeared on his own, he went on the counterattack, called out the racist undertone to the coverage of him, took on the tabloids and created a national conversation about the treatment of black footballers in this country by comparing the treatment of Tosin and Foden amongst other things.

Since then, he has been left alone, he's been able to have some level of privacy, because it became impossible to justify these articles dissecting every trip he made to poundland or gregg's.

Harry and Megan have waited for the right moment, they've made sure the interview is watched by everyone and headline news around the world, and they've created what will be a national discourse about racism and mental health and tabloid culture.

If the interview works, the conversation/argument will eclipse the pair of them, they will stand to the side and when everything's done, the tabloids will be weary of running negative stories about them because they won't be popular.

I couldn't have put it any better myself, this is how I feel about the whole saga.

And to be honest its been a bit of a distraction and light relief today reading these posts after the abject disappointment of yesterday.

Maybe Harry was questioning the baby's skin colour to check if he'd suite the matching Nazi outfits at future fancy dress parties. Dad and son together.

maybe maybe not. I you could also argue that they already have a massive fan base in the states where they now live so why would they be bothered about some nasty red top headlines in the UK press. Better to not mention it all imo, instead they half come out with unproven allegations and stirred the pot more.

So can anyone seriously imagine this scenario?

A staff member of the Royal household or maybe even a Royal asking 'What colour do you think your baby will be?'

I'm probably not the most politically correct person around but I can't think how this would have actually happened in any context.
