I still don’t see what Sterling brings to the party, every team has a player the manager won’t drop ~ he is ours.Kev shite yet again, sterling is a rag, Jesus I've got no words
Unfortunately this is about right giving a stupid penalty away after 30 seconds put them on the front foot, that said Sterling probably had the best chance of the match and sadly totally missed the ball.We really weren’t the better team. They could and should have had 3 or 4. Their keeper had nothing to bother him. They executed their game plan perfectly; Kev had a shocker ; we were toothless up front and lacked any sense of intensity. We were 2nd best.
Utd remind me of how they were in the 80s.
Used to beat the dippers but never really challenged for the actual title
The same here.
However we must win on Wednesday
Was that the year that" NOT IN MY LIFETIME " was uttered. !One thing the result did enforce was how bad rag fans must have felt at that iconic moment - 93.20
it’s inconceivable; impossible to imagine how bad they must have felt. Think of how you feel right now even though we’re still 11 points clear with only 10 games left to play & remember how they were celebrating winning the league only to have it snatched from them in Fergie time - not by just another PL team but by.....
CITEH
To be fair if that fat f*cker went past , you would be thinking he would need oxygen when he got to the penalty area the surprise is he didnt have a stroke before he shot , he will miss the next couple of games now resting at home with Just Eat on quick dial.
No player should be promised that they are going to play in big games , least of all Raheem Sterling. His form has been on and off for the last season or so, he has been patchy to say the least and that is being kind to him. Why the fuck Pep took all the dynamism of of the side in the shape of Foden and Silva is beyond me. Anyway on to the next one and let’s get on another run , let’s hope this defeat is a blessing and Pep learns a thing or two from it.Yes but we don’t know what’s been said to players, who’s trained well, whatever. Let me be clear: I wouldn’t have picked that team. But Pep might not have wanted to leave Sterling out because he’s promised him he will play in the big games. He might have concerns about KDB being unhappy, he might have thought he trained well, he might have even thought we’d smash them with Kev still getting up to speed.I honestly don’t know. What I do know is that Pep knows better than you and me and sees the big picture. This was just another league game where everything that can go wrong did, and we were still the better team. Let’s see where we are at the end of the season.
Absolute toilet that is I’m afraid. You’ve been listening to the know-nowt pundits. Both their goals were flukes and everything that could go wrong did do for us.We really weren’t the better team. That did cheer me up I must admit :)There there....have a trophy.
Hard to see how both goals were flukes mate nailed on penalty from a stupid pointless challenge ain't a fluke and letting Shaw run from the half way line ain't a fluke it was poor on our part, how we weren't up for a game against these I don't know, it wasn't and never will be just another game.Absolute toilet that is I’m afraid. To be fair we dont get much practice , unlike the Rags they get to to come from behind every other weekZero mentality when we go behind.
Been the problem for years.
I’m not holding his pace against him at all. Without it he’d be liable for a lot more goals against though. I agree his pace would of nullified United a lot better I just don’t agree he’s our best RB, although probably was the right choice for Uniteds Counters. I believe Cancelo has been a standout player in our winning run and when played the way he has been, it has worked for the benefit of the whole team. Yesterday I don’t think he played the same role as in the previous games. So what if his pace gets him out of trouble, that is a strength of his and should not be held against him. Walker should have played yesterday to nullify their pace which he did when he came on.
United noticeably targeted Cancelo yesterday because he can't defend worth a shit.I’m not holding his pace against him at all. Without it he’d be liable for a lot more goals against though. They were lucky goals against the run of play. The first was a bagatelle where the ball fell right at their player’s feet and Jesus got tangled with him just as he stepped right. The second was one of those where every single run of the ball fell perfectly for them. They happen. They never got on top, they never opened us up but nothing fell for us in the key areas whereas everything did for them.Hard to see how both goals were flukes mate nailed on penalty from a stupid pointless challenge ain't a fluke and letting Shaw run from the half way line ain't a fluke it was poor on our part, how we weren't up for a game against these I don't know, it wasn't and never will be just another game.
I hope you're right teams have blown 8pt leads with 6 to play before now you know. They were lucky goals against the run of play. “We weren’t up for it” is just fan nonsense mate. These players are up for every big game because they are winners. It was just one of those days, like Spurs at hone and Liverpool away in the champions league. Every team has a couple a season. Thank god it happened in a game that, at season end, won’t matter.
Not a cat in hell’s chance. This season will end with multiple trophies.I hope you're right teams have blown 8pt leads with 6 to play before now you know.
There was absolutely no lack of effort from any City players and that is a charge that you can rarely level at our team. But we were stupid in the way we approached the game and made it easy for United. I just hope we have got it out of our system for the run-in. We have played well in most games this season (apart from West Brom (H) and Leicester (H). We were due a poor performance but I am gutted it happened against our most hated rivals. I don't think we were lucky yesterday. A better team than United would have scored more. They were lucky goals against the run of play. They also noticeably targeted Rodri, giving him no time to think, pressuring him into easy passes.United noticeably targeted Cancelo yesterday because he can't defend worth a shit.
