Well done to those that do fight back. City owners cant get involved in the hate-reporter stuff, it's one basically fanbase (with a media voice) against another fanbase without one.

I dont understand people who dont want to defend City ("Because its the club's job") telling everyone that they dont want to... Just dont?

I remember him getting into an argument with a fella once and McGeenhan saying “with respect, you don’t know what you’re talking about (re human rights)” only for the other guy to say “check my bio” and he had an OBE (or similar) as a Human rights QC.
As per with these nerdy gimps on Twitter I suppose he didn’t respond after that smack in the chops?

Here's the McGeehan article the weaponised tool was quoting from as proof City are owned by the UAE and all those people he named as "involved in Yemen and Lybia efforts".

1*F3i1yPA6E6pmB55xccX44w.png

"The emails from Pearce prove everything I'm saying" he proclaimed... "it's all in the emails". Except it's not, Pearce was talking about the public perceptions in the USA for the stadium approval for NYCFC and the challenges that could bring.

He picked up on this quote and took it as an admission: "Ownership group already defined by the media as Abu Dhabi not CFG"

I probably don't need to explain where he went wrong with that interpretation but did McGeehan do the same? I haven't bothered to read it all(got tired from rolling my eyes so much).

Surprised he didn't pick up on the opening line of the email:
"MCFC/CFG/UAE/AD prepared to weather the storm of controversy and scrutiny for achievable but uncertain stadium approval?"

The key being, because the ownership has been defined by the media, scrutiny will be brought on the UAE and AD regardless of City being privately owned. If anything, that's what quite a few City fans have been saying is wrong with sportwashing theory, increased success leads to increased scrutiny on Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Despite Abu Dhabi never trying to use City for headlines themselves, they've always maintained they do not own Manchester City in actual fact.

Anyway I think youtube did ban the troll in the end, so there is a limit to what you can say about Manchester City or it's owner after all it seems.

Rt guys if you can

McGeeghan's tweet just confirmed that he does come on BM so can't fail to miss the contempt for him from Blues on here.

So if you're reading this McGeeghan just be aware that your non-stop disingenuous anti-City agenda and fatuous lies about our club along with your total schooling by Mark Stephens on Twitter has only reinforced our view that you're nothing more than a bitter fuckwit who should be kept away from non-childproof medicine bottles and sharp objects.

This anonymous account has been involved in systematic attempts to smear and discredit journalists and others who have been critical of MCFC's owners. He might be lying to boost his profile, but if it's true, the club should explain their relationship with this individual
"Explain yourselves or I'll or I'll... kick and scream and throw a tantrum" I'm not sure what the correct meme is for him:
Manchild?
Snowflake?
Karen?
All of the above?

Dear Nick,

We are very sorry for your trauma, but to answer your question: Our relationship is that he is fan of Manchester City FC, who reached out to us for support, over what he felt was a co-ordinated attempt at harassment from a number of journalists. He is in no way affiliated with the club in an official capacity and his views are his own. We'd also like to point out, that fact checking and criticising articles, with the use of publicly available information sources, is not "smearing" but an example of someone expressing their rights to free speech. We'd like to think, as a journalist, you understand the importance of his right to that. This is why he has received our full support, in the fight against online harassment of City fans; by vermin, propaganda-peddling journalists like yourself.

All anybody needs to know about these pricks is that human rights doesn't seem to matter when we aren't top of the league.
Actually even when we won the league under Mancini and Pellegrini they were not interested either in that, probably because they still genuinely thought City would still go away for some reason.

It only started when Guardiola was appointed, then the penny dropped for the press that we would not go away and instead be legit European powerhouse soon instead. Then suddenly human rights started to matter.

So its only going to get worse. Winning the CL will make it much much worse than it is currently.

Bet he can't wait for us to get to the CL final! Imagine all the piss boiling articles! He will do his worst/best (delete as needed) to ruin it for us - only... I couldn't give a toss about the competition.

He's coming on here to copy paste any threatening stuff said about him. He wants to be the victim. He wants to report it in his newspaper. I hope our admins are quick to remove anything like that, because I could imagine mcgeehan creating an account here to achieve that... That's the level of reporters we have attacking the club

i am not sure these "journos" are worth the time of day. It was great that so many Blues fought back when we were under the cosh with the CAS case etc but I just tend to laugh at these "journalists these days. The fact that not a single major publication has really struggled during the pandemic shows they are just propoganda that are immune from the financial realities of the world.

It is for the Club to keep developing our football and commercial base and for us to help to continue grow the fan base and not let the negativity get the better of us.

Hes not a reporter tbh, he’s a human rights blogger who newspapers use as an ‘expert source’ in order to add a veneer of credibility to their bias
