Is he seriously trying to suggest it's Rabin who's got a problem? As I remember it, Rabin is the one who stuck to the topics at hand and it was them who went rogue, teaming up on him, getting personal. They(the whatsapp group of anti-city propaganda merchants) were convinced he was a plant hired by the club at one point and now are trying to get the club to disown him completely as a fan by the sounds of it. These people have no self awareness.

Ah, but he’s an ‘expert in the field’ isn’t he? So surely he might know who the real big players in the field are? Wouldn't he? Surely?

McGeehan isn't a journalist. He has a mutually beneficial relationship with certain journalists whereby they cite his agenda-driven opinions as authoritative, allowing him a veneer of respectability, and he supplies them with views to back up their prejudiced rantings.

He'd bill himself as an academic and researcher. As it happens, I'd wager that, though I've made my living in the real world, my academics piss all over his. And I wouldn't be inclined to let him research what I should have for breakfast tomorrow, let alone anything more cerebral.
