They need to be interviewed. I can understand a ref missing anything in real time, but if VAR see what we saw tonight, they via fucking Zoom should be asked by the pundits why that wasn't given. Souness is spot on, and the only way the refs club ends is if they are asked about such things.

And then another appalling example of var as they’ve just shown the encroachment on the Barca pen and it was blatant - Veratti even cleared the rebound! And they looked at it. Fucking madness.

Unfortunately with the introduction of VAR, the quality of refereeing is diluted with poor referees and referees past their sell by date such as Atkinson, Mason and Dean to the say the least. How Cootes and Madley are Premier league referees is beyond me. They have 4 officials at matches and a crew at Stockley Park.

We know full well that Phil's penalty would of been given for the rags or dippers
