"One of the reasons to keep Messi is to bring Sergio [Aguero] to Barcelona. A few weeks ago, it was Messi to Man City because Sergio was there and it could be good for Messi to be reunited and to work with people he knows from Barcelona before", he continued.

OMG Sergio is off and no Messi!!1! :( :( :(

or agent zabba acts as a catalyst and gets a custom made post at city as a “special player relation officer and part time right back coach / bandage wrapping specialist ”
excorts messi out of barca hanging from a helicopter in bond style blaring status quo ”whatever you want” from boom box in his left hand .

The dm claiming Sergio has agreed a 2 year deal with Barcelona. Might be speculating, but putting a time frame on it is a bit if an extra step.

Not that i think it is necessarily going to hugely affect what messi ends up doing, as such.

Havent read DM, but guess they are quoting this AS artiсle?

Big blow for Barcelona. This is the banker who was meant to restructure their debt. Highly respected and came from the board of Spanish banking giant CaixaBank.

They seem a long way from signing players.

Bad news in more than one way. Sounds to me like he's had his first in depth look (due diligence level) at their accounts and walked away.

A 2 year deal for a 32 (33 in June) year old is hardly mystic meg territory, they know if he does go there he won't want less and Barca won't offer more at that age.

Serg is off to Barca. Fact! The Daily United say so. Messi is staying then.

I'm guessing your sarcasm is at the Fail itself. Rather than the fact I mentioned their claiming it.

So on the Bluemoon podcast they seem to be suggesting the likely result will now be Messi stays at Barcelona and Aguero joining him and possibly Alaba that would be so disappoint having been thinking we might have them all playing for us next year even if they are past there peak and demanding huge money in wages on free transfers we should be really going all out for them

I’m confident I saw that same scenario as a report coming out from Spain. It could just be them parroting a report from a different news source.

Barcelona are in deep financial shit. They don't have the money to pay their current players, pay cuts and deferred wages, so how can they possibly afford Aguero who would expect top wages? They have to repay hundreds of millions this year in bank debt and transfer fees, it doesn't add up. They are technically on the verge of bankruptcy and without restructuring of the debt they surely have no chance of getting anyone.
