Honestly, if we fail to get Haaland, I'd be happy with Joao Felix. Think under Pep's hands, he'd turn into some world beater.

But nah, not gonna happen, even less likely than Haaland. Atleti bought him for £120+, and they'd wanna make a profit from that. Release clause is also at £350m apparently.

^ This.... It will depend on how aggressive Atletico’s borrowing is - they may need to raise funds urgently to meet bank covenants so the sale of a major asset who is not critical to them at this time may be an option. City are clearly sniffing for a reason.

Sorry I don't watch much Spanish football so how good is he ? I know we have fans on here who do watch

I know AM paid a lot for him but I never see him described as prolific unlike Haaland, and realise that he is totally different in stature .

I do remember him being getting plenty of attention before signing for AM but not so much since .

such a silky player on the ball like David Silva was he like hovers over the pitch so smoothly pep would make him a goal machine and world class I have no doubt.

He's not an out and out striker, more the lad that unlocks the defence. If we signed him he'd be on the wings, a false 9 or in attacking midfield. A different tactical era he'd have been a number 10 but very few managers use them these days. Top technique and vision, a great finisher when he gets chances and he's still improving. Could be an absolute world beater coached by Guardiola.

So did Laporte. Things can change, if there is actual interest.

I didn't particularly think there was much chance of it myself when the rumours re-started, and i find it coincidental that they emerged at a time when Dortmund are reportedly claiming their price for Haaland. Part of the dance, eyeball the boobies across the dancefloor for a bit.
