TV Series

Just rewatched League of Gentleman series one and two after not seeing it for a good few years. It's sick in parts and utterly brilliant, Papa Lazarou is one creepy fecker.

I get what you mean about the acting as it's very soap opera, but that's because the show isn't grounded on anything so they, clearly, have to dredge up whatever from wherever!

No inspiration to draw from!

Still, like you say about Shayamalan vehicles, there's enough to keep you seeing what MIGHT happen and, no doubt, be ultimately disappointed!

Did you watch six feet under? If so, did you recognize that the ginger was the young sister in six feet under?

Bought season 1 on dvd earlier. Didn’t bother me that the show got cancelled. I was intrigued by someone online saying that it touches on themes to do with gnostic Christianity.

That got my attention because Twin Peaks operates in vaguely similar territory with that Manichean thing it has going on.
 
Currently on S3 of Ozark.

I don’t know the technical term, but I love the look of the show - is it desaturated? Or is some kind of filter? Either way, it’s a great look and a compelling watch.
 
Just finished The Terror and really enjoyed it. Slightly disappointed with the ending but overall a very good watch, brilliant characters and superb settings.
 
Just finished binging out on Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Avengers, Ant Man, Black Panther etc, etc finished off with End Games.
Very enjoyable

6 part series on Netflix about a Doctor having a bit of hanky panky with his secretary.
The first 3 episodes are ok then I think the writers dropped some LSD and it went tits up for the last 3.

I was going to can it after the first episode of series one but, for some reason, there was an under current that dragged me along and, weirdly, I rather enjoy watching these very dysfunctional people in a highly dysfunctional family on the brink!

I'm none too sure, if I totally get it, even if I think I do!

I'm watching it but i dont know why because nothing ever really happens. I suppose its a case of I've come this far so I'll see it out but like most of his stuff I am fully prepared for a let down.

Exactly like the book. 1st half excellent & then the twist is revealed and its utter shite
 
Right, message to all major fans of The Expanse.

I’m 4 episodes into Series 1 and finding it a real struggle, no real understanding of who the fuck is who, no affiliation to any person, nothing feeling clear storyline wise - is this just me, did everyone else find it like this initially? Please someone reassure me!

For me it was too hard work, complicated plot with nothing to keep you interested. Binned it after 2 episodes.
