But the head of the Italian medicines agency said it was a political decision?
You do keep ignoring this simple fact.

Mate in Notts says they're doing the 'naughty' 40's group now.
And worth adding that when the guy said 'political', he probably meant 'decided by politicians' i.e. nothing sinister.See "nuance"
You need to get over your obsession with painting anything EU related in a bad light because of your Brexit stance. We all know they’ve done a poor job with their vaccine rollout and it seems very likely they’ve overreacted with the AZ issue, but repeating this nonsense about them having done it to somehow have a dig at the UK is a bit pathetic. But the head of the Italian medicines agency said it was a political decision?

One of my favourite bits of the UK; great for pubs and walking (though a curry house in Lampeter subbed cress for coriander years ago !).Near Lampeter, through Sykes Cottages.
Careful no one slips on you.Just seen itv news. Same number of blood clots in Pfizer as in AZ vaccinated people. And other European countries decided they had no choice but to suspend the roll out based soley on Germanys decision, ignoring the EMA advice. Even though they have had much fewer or no cases themselves of clots. They did this they said to put more faith in the AZ vaccine??? If that isnt a political decision then im a banana.
It's not JUST the number of clots, though. It will be a number of factors such as ages and pre-existing conditions of those affected, the type of clots, the duration between vaccination and the clot developing and possibly other things.Just seen itv news. Ignoring the advice of the EMA, WHO and their own data, for a risk which is significantly less than normal, ie not actually a risk! With many more people dying as a result is utter and complete madness. Im sorry there is no justification for this decision. if the clots were higher than normal then sure they may have a case. But it is 5 times lower! It's not JUST the number of clots, though. Why have they done it then? Serious question, their own body has said its safe along with the WHOYou need to get over your obsession with painting anything EU related in a bad light because of your Brexit stance. I agree it sounds madness to suspend their programmes, I'm just not certain it's done politically and we just don't have the full data to suggest it.Ignoring the advice of the EMA, WHO and their own data, for a risk which is significantly less than normal, ie not actually a risk! England hospital deaths 101 - with 26 from NW - so big catch up in the region as usual.
This is one of the two biggest days of the week with Wednesdays because of the catch up data.
Last week it was 164 and 35 from NW btw. So that is a large week to week fall again. Of around 40%.
Oh and again 15 of them today were weeks old and so were not even in February or March.
So you are saying the decision of France to ignore their own data and the advice of the EMA and the WHO and follow Germany because they didn't think they could ask their citizens to take the vaccine while Germany had paused their programme was not political? Really ?I agree it sounds madness to suspend their programmes, I'm just not certain it's done politically and we just don't have the full data to suggest it.
