Harry Kane

I would much rather have Haaland but Kane would still score a shit load of goals for us, Levy would want an arm and a leg but isn't in the best position due to Covid and his new stadium.

My biggest concerns are.
1, Tends to get medium term injuries.
2, Would need replacing again in 3-5 years.
3, Not sure how he would work press.
4, Has a fecking huge chin.

5, dirty bastard and wouldn't get away with it here
6, breathes through his mouth

He’d be brilliant for us in terms of goal scoring. Obviously prefer the younger Haaland though. Also suspect Spurs would want like £150m which there’s no chance we would pay.

Can't believe people wouldn't want him. Proven goalscorer, can hold the ball up, & seems to know when to pass the ball to a teammate.
I don't think his age should put us off.
The 2 things going against him are his injury record & Levy.
He can't do much about the first one but the second is all his fault signing that new contract.

For the way Kane plays, he's definitely not too old, he can play at the top for maybe 10 more years, more than enough time with us to repay his value.

He is a **** though, but if the club wants to buy the best striker in the league this season, whose also english and a playmaker (16G and 13A this season), I can't really fault that logic.

Will miss chunks of the season and all for price of £100m +. Beside that he won't fit with the way we play,

I agree with everything except the bolded. You might be right but with his injury history it's more likely he'd start having problems sooner rather than later. It's not common for players with persistent injuries like he's had to thrive past their early 30s. It'd be risky to get him on that basis. And to cement the point, the dip can happen fast.

However he could still be excellent for 3-4 years fairly risk free. It does make the need to sign him more urgent for whoever decides they want him.

Yeah that was perhaps a stretch, but I could definitely see atleast 5 years from him.
