The Silver Sands of Morar is a special place if the sun is out lolYeah, Scotland has some *incredible* beaches. If we can all just put out a *little* more CO2, they may become inhabitable within the next 50 years or so.
The issue that people may find given case numbers and vaccinations here and in europe is you may be unlucky in that you jet off to France or Spain as all the pubs and restaurants are open at home and you land abroad and they are under lockdown With all their bars and restaurants closed.
the way the numbers are going that seems more likely !!
No one. It’s the lockdown fetishists out in full force accusing anyone who dare go on holiday when permitted as murderers.out of interest who on this forum has said they are prepared to go on holiday prematurely without due regard to other people?
I love Scotland, such a fantastic country with welcoming people. Ive holidayed, walked, climbed, camped, canoed many many times and even toured the place on a motorbike. I intend to canoe and tour on a bike again this spring. If you are blessed by the good weather its 10 times better. If not the far north west can be a bit bleak under canvas. The Silver Sands of Morar is a special place if the sun is out lol
We went to a wedding in Mallaig and the owner of the bed and breakfast we stayed at said to go as the sun was shining, it really was like the Caribbean bar the temp of the water obviously :)
I lived in Portugal for a year or so, unbelievable coastline. We used to jump of the cliffs some really high. Crazy looking back. Sometimes you would have to swim through caves to get back to secluded beaches from the cliff tops. My mates came out to visit once, the 3 of them were quite unfit; but I really wanted them to jump off this cliff for the buzz, stupidly I told a white lie about the distance you have to swim to get back to shore this was through a cave so you couldn’t see the distance it was probably another 60mtrs to what I told them. Two of them really could of drowned one had to be pulled in by a Portuguese bloke there was a little exaggeration on their part. But still I shouldn’t have lied. They still talk about that experiance though in a good way now.Nowhere near as good as the Algarve’s but better than Spain’s ;-)
When are you going stop with this immotive bullshitNo one. It’s the lockdown fetishists out in full force accusing anyone who dare go on holiday when permitted as murderers.
The way it’s going it looks like no holidays until 2022 and even then they’ll be another excuse.
It is the midgies that spoil it for me, it got so bad we gave up going in the end.I love Scotland, such a fantastic country with welcoming people. Go in the Spring, April/May before they arrive and you are fine.It is the midgies that spoil it for me, it got so bad we gave up going in the end.
They eat me alive but never touch the wife, even when I had blood that must have been close to pure Stella and smoked they still bit the shit out of me.
Of course, the worst places for it are down by the loch just the very place you want to take an after evening tea stroll, little biting bastards all over the place :(
We used to go August hoping for some sun lolGo in the Spring, April/May before they arrive and you are fine.
You never said :)Yes Santa Pola and Elche but we don't mind waiting,we have a lovely holiday home in Norfolk which will open 12th April.
Yes it does.True-but I've yet to find if it's possible to get a visa to allow one to. Substitute Spain for Cyprus which is non-Schengen and the 90 days doesn't apply.
Honestly yeahYou only just realised that no vaccine works on everyone?
but you haven't met Mrs h who is from South Wales and to be fair, we both enjoy the sun and beaches.Come on mate, you live in Hampshire, the weather is pretty good in the South.
If you register with them then you can stay longer. How about substituting my examples with Thailand where you can get a 6 month visa. The point is the same that it is re-entering the country that should be the limiting factor, not leaving.Yes it does.
You can only stay for 90 days in Cyprus.
It just does not impact staying anywhere else.

Yeah it will be a nightmare for family's in the kids holiday far too many descending to the coast. I think I'll will pass on that this year.Let's face it, it's not about the quality of the resorts or scenery in the UK, it's all about the reliability of the bloody weather.
If you’re genuinely interested, look back over the last 20 pages or so. You’ll find several bitching about being grounded, one clown even blaming a Tory plot against the travel industry, a couple of others totally blinkered about medical reality.out of interest who on this forum has said they are prepared to go on holiday prematurely without due regard to other people?
Nothing that a good hypnotist cannot sort out for you.The Silver Sands of Morar is a special place if the sun is out lol
