City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

So, they've got something on us, but they're going to wait until the end of the season before revealing it?
Sounds plausible
Remembering the fuss that was caused over the 'time-barred' part of the CAS case (not that it mattered much as I understand it).. what are people going to moan about this time lol

Wouldn't they just relax FFP? If they scrap it then that means the big clubs can no longer guarantee being at the top. I like it though, brings more competition and more teams to screw the G14 over.

This has yet to be confirmed and we don't know any of the detail but it could be that UEFA are responding to pressure from the old G14 who now realise that they are snared in a trap that was set to catch others. On the other hand this could be the result of other pressures. UEFA abandoned its attempts to control debt when the "elite" threatened legal action and a breakaway and switched its attention to spending. This hasn't worked at all and has led to conflict, notably with City, and humiliation. UEFA has kept remarkably silent about last summer's CAS ruling but it is obvious that the pressure on UEFA to use the rules to further the interests of the quite hostile G14 group was immense, and/but that these rules were so complex that even UEFA officials did not understand them! There was a feeling that a City win would necessitate some steps towards reconciliation between UEFA and City, a club which, after all, was a threat to the G14 but in no way to UEFA. Khaldoon did meet with leading UEFA officials on at least one occasion and it must have been clear that FFP would ALWAYS be weapon that could be used to obstruct City's plans to invest in the game. It could be that UEFA has come off the fence, seen that the G14 will ruin football and is taking advantage of a game brought to near ruin by covid to take the brakes of clubs wanting to put money into the game.

I may be talking nonsense, we'll have to wait for the detail but UEFA may have noticed that those trying to ruin City never seem to prosper.
