Yeah, true. Lots of changes that have improved our hand.I’d have thought Pep extending had at least as much influence.

I think if a poster came to this forum about two seasons ago and claimed that he heard from a “top source” at the club that Pep wanted to go into a new season with Ederson as the only goalkeeper in our squad, because, if needed be, we had Kyle Walker for that position who had proven to work, some would have believed — and agreed with the thesis
No my friend, the moronic argument is the one being made in the other direction, because it’s about giving away a tactical shortcut and treating it as the main course. Assuming Pep would be this silly is the exact same in both instancesThat's a moronic argument.
If Kyle walker had played 20 games in net like the various midfielders have played false 9 then that comparison would have validity.

I would say it is definitely impossible that Pep would accept starting a new season with less attacking options than we already have (and they are limited). And when you mention Kevin as false 9 as a first choice attacking option, it sounds even more absurd. Not only because Kevin is injury prone, but because Pep’s own career shows that there is a limit to how far you can go before becoming predictable and easily exposed with this choice and we’re getting there. You will see a lot less false 9s next season, not moreIt is very unlikely we let Aguero go and don't bring in a like for like replacement but it is certainly not impossible.
Should we win the CL this season with KDB playing false 9 in every game it is possible that Pep would be happy with having Jesus and KDB as first choice options.
The chances are <10% but it's infinitely more likely than the Walker comparison.
Hes finishing in the video looks more decent than JesusThe lad has 6 league goals in his first Serie A campaign. Jesus had 47 across his first 2.
Youtube videos make everyone look great. That's how the rags ended up signing Bebe.Hes finishing in the video looks more decent than Jesus

Not in the sports section, closest is Stuart Brennan, an objective and sensible rag.
Jesus was the star of Palmeiras when we signed him. Veron isn’t even in the starting XI. Don’t get too excitedHes finishing in the video looks more decent than Jesus
He “only” has 2 years left after the end of this season compared to 1 year left last season, so not significant. And im sure the board would allow him to leave any time (within reason) if he wanted to.I’d have thought Pep extending had at least as much influence.
Tell you what this is the kinda deal we’d love...
I could see him being like the Dias transfer. Previously linked and when we couldn’t get target A or B we move in for himI’m sure he’s going to evolve.
Please no. He's not ready for Benfica's first team never mind ours.I could see him being like the Dias transfer. Previously linked and when we couldn’t get target A or B we move in for him
according to his own theory its suppose go from C ,B,AI could see him being like the Dias transfer. Previously linked and when we couldn’t get target A or B we move in for him

That’s not what I was referring to. I was talking about next season, which is what you were talking about. He might play against Dortmund, but if we go through, I doubt we’d play Kevin The False 9 against Bayern or PSGDo you not think Kevin will play there against Dortmund?
He certainly looks first choice in the position currently.
