I think most would have supported the rags or dippers, hence their dislike for usTrue but I don’t think they see it the same.
Likely Soriano's idea, given he's wanted to do this kind of thing since before joining City.Question.
Is the CFG Soriano's idea, via a knock back at Barcelona, or is it an idea of Mansour/Khaldoon, tasked to Soriano, to take forward?
What do you think?
Why aren’t they supporting New York Red Bull then?I think most would have supported the rags or dippers, hence their dislike for us
They aren’t actually a ‘New York’ team. They play in a different City and a different state. Why aren’t they supporting New York Red Bull then?
Which explains why they have New York in their title. They aren’t actually a ‘New York’ team. They play in a different City and a different state.
Yep... they’re based in Harrison, New Jersey. Just like our red friendsWhich explains why they have New York in their title.
Not unlike our friends from Trafford?
Pretty sure NYC fans don't hate us because we are Arab owned. Most were, and still are rags, dippers and et al before NYC existed. They'd not support City even if we were owned by the Anglican Church.True up to a point. New York City fans hate us, we are arab owned.
And where is our Middle East club?
True enough, but there was massive negative publicity in NY on the arab question. Khaldoon said that the perception that NYC were owned by an arab state was highly detrimental in the search for a stadium.Pretty sure NYC fans don't hate us because we are Arab owned. A LOT, I mean a lot a lot, of fit women in Ukraine. I feel the need to point this out for some reason.
Because despite the name, they are in New Jersey. New Yorkers wanted a team of their own based in the cityWhy aren’t they supporting New York Red Bull then?

Russian will work too. I knew a wonderful Ukrainian woman. She, and her friends, spoke primarily Russian. According to her, most Ukrainians have no problem speaking Russian other than some from the western part of the country who see themselves as "patriots" and language purists, etc.I have seen them in Dubai. They are all fit.(especially one who sticks out in my memory) All of them. But you have to pay. Top tip. Learn basic Ukranian.
Its branding exercise. The "City" brand is marketed across the world like this, without relying on pre season friendlies, instead giving the brand constant exposure in these markets. How the hell buying clubs most people have never heard of is going to help Manchester City is beyond me
In the grand scheme of things it might be good business for the owners but ain't a clue what it does for our club
It might be ok for " our brand" but still don't see how it will help us as a clubIts branding exercise. The "City" brand is marketed across the world like this, without relying on pre season friendlies, instead giving the brand constant exposure in these markets.
All this leads to increased exposure for Manchester City, because when you see the words "City Group" or one of those clubs you immediately think Manchester CIty. (by this I mean the people in those markets)
This is the whole point of this.
Soriano wanted to do this with Barca, but was denied.
The fact that many still don't have a clue about the point of CFG, just shows how far ahead of time our execs are.
Do you think they aren't concentrating on City? Each club runs on its own with them only coming together at a very senior level. Brad Rouse and Brad Sims run Melbourne and New York, the CFG support is there for all to benefit from. Idea that the next Suarez comes to Spain for a £3M fee, becomes a budding £50M superstar but sold in house to City for £30M. Money stays in the group and we sing his name in the South Stand. It can be a cash cow just look at Aaron Mooy, we got him on a free from Melbourne sold on to Huddersfield in the end. If we got the full £10M it means CFG set up the other MCFC and built the training ground near enough for free.It might be ok for " our brand" but still don't see how it will help us as a club
Should just concentrate on City
