Not mine. Things have got worse, for sure.

Of course there's some real gems around still. (Not least the wonderful person on here who offered to do all the shopping for my Mum during lockdown - something we didn't need in the end, but about which I am still touched to this day.)

But the numbers of twats, and of twattish behaviour is definitely on the increase. I just think there's a steadily increasing number of people who simply have not been brought up properly.

You voted for the people who have done this to the country. Destroying communities where people learn respect from their elders, they learnt values of the community, they acted in the interests of the community, the party you voted for destroyed all that and promoted rampant individualism.

Sometimes you meet twats in the supermarket I wouldn't let it get to you.

I can remember years ago going shopping with my mum and finding a trolley full of reduced stuff and mistook it for something set up by the supermarket, but it was just one middle class childless couple from appearances who had selfishly hoarded all the goodies.

What I hadn't realised then, was it's not theft if you take something out of a trolley before someone has bought it.

You should have stalked her from a distance and grabbed your loaf when she was distracted.

So this consistenlty un-PC tory government that give little shits about us peasants that would be, by underfunding police and education while also while creating an underclass (or as you call them scum) who seeming are not equiped with basic social decency.

I can only see one group who have fucked the country and it isn't do gooders, though I admit many are very annoying cunts.

Trust me I am not against a police force that can deal with a person or group deserving it in any shape or form, or a fan of treating little shits at school with kid gloves, a lack of education on basic social skills and measured discipline is missing and has been for decades, but that is a product of a system where we happily keep allowing an elite to govern us, and make sure conditions are in place to keep this status quo.

A system ran not by PC do-gooders.

Be more efficent to install an electric fence or glass cover and let the police get on with proper work

Like I said to mosssideblue about his experience with a couple of pricks taking the piss out of his disability; negative experiences hold stronger emotions and memories for us than most positives ones. Feeling humiliated or angry is a stronger feeling than just feeling calm, normal, or even happy.

90% of the people on this island are people who leave you feeling calm, normal, and happy. The vast majority of people are nice, kind, normal people. It’s always the minority that ruin it for everyone else. It’s the 10% who are the ones who exasperate us. They’re a small group of people but they’re the ones who give us the stronger angry emotions that we overridingly remember.

It’s the actions of these pricks that are newsworthy n’all. So the dickheads breaking lockdown rules, racially abusing others, turning up to protests to attack the Police, abusing and attacking paramedics or Police officers simply turning up to help in a situation, littering and fly tipping etc. are what peaks peoples’ attention and what make news stories... Calm, happy, normal and everyday actions by the 90% are never in the news; nobody would be interested. So that leaves us with the skewed thought that everywhere is full of cunts.

But it’s not. Unlike how Bluemoon’s Politics Forum’s regulars try and portray; on the whole, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with our society. We don’t live in some unhinged country full of pricks, racists, homophobes, sexists, ageists, disability shaming, idiots!

Again, I’ve made a post that isn’t really about what this thread is about. Apologies!.. I do agree that Policing should be tougher where it’s really needed to be. Just thought I’d provide a bit of balance where your think there’s a permeation through the population of absolute twats, because there isn’t.

Your aggressive name calling is not really a proportionate response to a lady who's circumstances you don't know who perhaps selfishly took a loaf you wanted. Maybe you're employing a little hyperbole for effect but in a thread bemoaning peoples selfishness and lack of respect be careful not to stab yourself with your own sword. Particularly when the net impact on your life is pretty negligable. I'm sure if you had chosen to not get angry you would have enjoyed your cheese and meat platter even with some warburtons bread.

Permeation does not mean there's a majority. I simply meant society is riddled with people who are fundamentally not very nice, or at the very least have some pretty unpleasant and selfish traits. And I stand by that assertion and also the assertion that the numbers of such is increasing.
