Great programme. Not for everyone I'll admit but one of the most visually stunning shows I've ever watchedStarted The Handmaid's Tale on Prime, have wanted to watch for a while but missus always refused, saying her friends say it's depressing.
Am now in trouble for suggesting these guys have an admirable structured society to the wife :p
Elisabeth Moss is great but they could probably have her stare directly into the camera a bit less.Great programme. Not for everyone I'll admit but one of the most visually stunning shows I've ever watched
Future Man on Amazon Prime is excellent.
Watched this, very enjoyable, I thought 'Mike' was probably the best character in it though (never really taken to the Saul Goodman' character, odd it never struck me it was a play on words though :-S), that Hector Salemanca, took an instant dislike to him, reminded me of my step fathers dad, horrible little bastard.Going to bite the bullet and start ‘Better call Saul’, see you in a week or so .
"Kremwell"going to try 'Wolf Hall', better be as good as people seem to say it is, or there'll be Trouble ;-).
the greatest show that hardly anyone knows about!Sad day tomorrow. Will be watching the last ever episode of Banshee....
Gonna bloody miss this show!
Only two people voted for Banshee in the BM top 100 TV shows, seething I was.the greatest show that hardly anyone knows about!
Banshee was truly excellent. Keep seeing people recommending Justified so I'll give it a go.the greatest show that hardly anyone knows about!
Also, if you enjoyed that you'd love 'Justified' on Prime.
Disgraceful when you see some of the other shit.Only two people voted for Banshee in the BM top 100 TV shows, seething I was.![]()
Brilliant series. Very realistic, had me in floods of tears many times. Great performance by the lead detective. The restrained, undemonstrative but still compelling Danish series The Investigation is available on the BBC iPlayer and is well-worth seeing.
It's about the murder of the journalist Kim Wall just a couple of years ago. Although the first three episodes come across as quite reserved, almost plodding, it's worth sticking with as the sheer complexity of this true life case slowly emerges, and the admirable, dogged persistence of those who became caught up in it in their quest for justice becomes apparent.
The fact that it is unsensational and all the better for it is because from what I could tell it sticks very closely indeed to what actually transpired and does not pander to audience expectations by playing up anything. By the end, I was completely won over and thought it was superb. It would have featured in my top 20 list had I seen it earlier.
Won't post the trailer as it is better to view this series without knowing anything in advance.
The only other cautionary note I want to add is that if you do know a bit more than the bare bones of what took place it might not work quite so well.
