Their own party, banked the £1b bung,
Has anybody asked Arlene where the money was spent yet?
Their own party, banked the £1b bung,
Whats wrong with Union Jack socks?Brexit, Boris and the DUP. What a combo. What is ironic, is it wasn't a Left wing Labour Gov who fucked it all up, to undermine the keeping of the Fleg, it was their very own DUP and Tories. Their own party, banked the £1b bung, voted to keep the Tories afloat, agreed to the deal and are now looking to offload their absolute culpability. The sickener is NI voted to Remain. Well not all, I bet most, if not all, of the cunts rioting didn't. The British Empire, Glory, Let's Go it Alone, pish is their meat and two veg. So I bet they're Brexiteers right down to their UJ socks. Everybody not devoid of intelligence, warned them this was a certainty. Well almost everybody. Here's another deluded arsehole who pretended otherwise.
I don’t think they ever actually got it in the end.Has anybody asked Arlene where the money was spent yet?

So is this link all bollocks?Pallets.
Nothing if you are so inclined. Apart from a dress sense bypass, obviously. However, that aside, I was making the point of their absolute mania about wearing their colours, as part of their I'm British and you're going to feckin notice mindset.Whats wrong with Union Jack socks?

I have to admit though, I am a weird sock bigot. Whenever I see someone with whacky socks, cartoon characters, super heroes, you know the kinds, pink, mad yellow, I always check out the rest of their clobber and it all makes sense. It's either, I am announcing publicly I have no dress sense or Look at me I'm whacky and original. Neither is usually true, that is their tragedy. Looking at them, is mine.
Just reading that made me question existence.never ever wear RED socks or white with black shoes
I am very much a unionist. I think the UK union makes the country stronger, more affluent and gives it a bigger influence on the world stage.Genuine question...as people in GB what are your thoughts on the future of NI/RoI. And i dont mean "its up to the people of NI to decide".
Do you desperately want NI to remain part of the UK?
Do you want NI to leave the UK become part of a United Ireland?
Are you indifferent?
Will it actually affect your day to day life?
a.n. other option?
I suspect we are pretty close in our thinking. I believe the one thing that could stem the tide is a rethink of what the UK means - devolved parliament in each country. Unanimous agreement required for major stuff. Thin down the powers at Westminster, establish an English parliament with devolved powers (maybe three or four and make them regional. My preferred outcome would be an early end to the current government to be replaced by a real unionist government who looks after the interests of the whole of the UK equally which would hopefully quell the independence/reunification movements. I suspect that ship has sailed though.

This is doing the rounds at the minute. Looks like Friday night will be interesting.
Both crowds have always been partial to face coverings tbf.I suppose at least we can acknowledge they recognise the need for masks.........
Looking like meltdown tonight eh? Is Johnson campaigning in the Hebrides today?
That ship has sailed, been intercepted leaving the harbour and sank. Even if they promised to do as you hoped, nobody would believe them. That's their inescaple reality. They have lied so much, for so many years that no one even wants it anymore. We have rejected the Tories for 70 years, but have had them for most of those years. The party is over.I am very much a unionist. I think the UK union makes the country stronger, more affluent and gives it a bigger influence on the world stage.
However I can fully understand the frustrations of many people living in the devolved nations when it appears that their interests are seen by the government in Westminster as coming a distant second behind the interests of their core support in England, and would not blame any of the devolved nations making a decision to go their own way and look after their own interests, particularly the Scots who were sold the lie in 2014 that remaining in the UK meant remaining in the EU. Regarding NI, you have been stitched up as much by the DUP as you have by Johnson, and Arlene Foster is doing her best to deflect responsibility. I can see a border poll happening sometime in the next 3 or 4 years with a majority opting for unification with the south, especially if this useless UK government carries on its current path. Turbulent times ahead whatever happens.

The spelling and grammatical errors in that post are more of a crime against British ‘culture’ than any post-Brexit agreementView attachment 13935

There was a similar thing started on social media yesterday about last night, and not much happened (bar on the Shankill/Falls interface which was quieter than the previous few nights)View attachment 13935

maybe no point at all.I don't disagree with this, I just wonder what the point would be of a union at all.
4 different parliaments, 8 if we include 4 regions, what are the chances of getting them all to agree on anything ? Particularly with all the various self-interest groups operating constantly against each other.
Setting aside the general hatred of the English, the Conservatives and the sectarian rivalries, it boils down to control and distribution of the money. Unless you devolve collection of taxes and distribution of it within the collection area to those 4-8 governments there will be even more rivalries and division.
I understand the clamour for greater and greater division in the name of "equality", it's pervading every walk of life. I just can't see where the common ground lies.
In my view, we're careering towards the break-up of the union not because of any specific identifiable benefit from doing so or due to the actions of any particular group of people but because it's the way society is headed and it's the path of least resistance.
We want Brexit, it will be great, we will rule the waves, there won't be a border, oh wait, what? Are you sure? A border? Brexit is shite, where's my petrol. There was a similar thing started on social media yesterday about last night, and not much happened (bar on the Shankill/Falls interface which was quieter than the previous few nights)
I don't see how destroying your own areas or throwing petrol bombs over a wall is going to change much in terms of Brexit (which the same people campaigned vigorously for) all the same
