You genuinely don't think he's a world class level player?

No. I think when everything is going right for him, he shows he has some ridiculous attributes. When things aren’t going right for him, he is fucking awful. Since he has been here he has had as many awful seasons, as he has had great seasons. I don’t think you can be labelled world class, when there is such huge inconsistencies in performance levels. Going into each season not knowing which Sterling is going to appear for the next 10 months is not a good situation to be in.

Great last season but now he is playing with 2 left feet. Hopefully it is only form and next year he returns. Pity as on his day he is unplayable. We could have been doing with him for the run in.

Tbh I can't see Sterling moving on, so the real issue is how does Pep get him playing to something like his best that we have witnessed, or what else do we do with the issue ?

Is his confidence so fucked that it can't be sorted ? I presume not because Pep would surely protect him in that case.

Pep sees him every day in training and must see a different character than his matchday performances because he would surely be nowhere near the team. Or does Pep believe that he has to " play through " this shit patch ( yes for some period I understand that ) and keep encouraging him ?

A fucking quandry that is for sure.

He scored 31 goals and played a mammoth 52 games last season. This season our whole strike force has been a tad transitional but the lad is trying to regain than edge and I'm confident it will return

We were too slow all through the game imo but this is the way we have been playing and being succesful .

We as a team are not clinical but Sterling was just very poor.
