Chelsea - FA Cup SF | Post-Match Thread

Proper pissed me off that. I know the team selection was dodgy, but too many of those players selected were shockingly bad. Torres is useless and I genuinely struggle to see anything whenever the plays, sterling is literally killing us at the moment, Mendy is still Mendy, cancelo regressed to the player he was last season, Jesus is a CF if we ever wondered what the fuck he was. All in all an appalling performance and I know pep will get pelters but fuck me, the players who came in have to show some bollocks.
 
Shame, but it’s so tough to win every trophy in one season and the FA Cup was the one I wanted to win the least. I want to win the League Cup to equal Littlewoods' record of four in a row and eight in total, and I want to win the Premier League and Champions League for obvious reasons.

Full credit to Chelsea for nullifying our attack, but we had our chances.

And despite his MotM performance, I would have taken Dinho off for Bernardo, especially after his yellow card.

Still plenty to play for. Let’s have a great finish to the season.
 
We'll win the league, we have a 70/30 chance of the league cup but I just can't see us getting anywhere near PSG after this week's performances, particularly if KDB is out. Echoes of that week in April 2018
 
That was as bad as anything we have produced all season.

For me, the only silver lining might be that Pep will fuck this 6/7/8 changes off. We have to rotate to keep a freshness, but he has taken it way too far.

If we are going to end up playing a shadow team in a FAC semi, I question the point of trying to get this far in the 1st place. It stinks of arrogance that he thinks he can put out a side that is full of players that are either not good enough, or are woefully out of form in a cup semi final.

Play our best side in the Prem and get the fucking thing won ASAP.
 
Pep was too cocky. Thought his team would pull it out of the bag. Forgot he was playing against Chelsea’s wall of blue. Oh well at least the quadruple question is over and the domestic treble done. Think we’ll end up with the league and hopefully thd league cup which on the face of it is an excellent season.

waw. agree. Torres, mendy and sterling should not be anywhere near the team. what sads me is pep watching sterling wasting chances and not bringing mahrez or bernardo.
 
It s not the last few games, I think the game vs United was the signal that we are not ready yet. Again.
Also is happening what I said: you don t mess around with a good CB partnership. Unless injuries or suspensions, Stones and Dias should have started every game. This rotation destroyed their partnership.

Pep and the players clearly couldn’t give a shit about the fa cup. Wouldn’t be surprise to see the same next week. The PL and the CL is all that matters to them
 
I am not going to be so hard on Torres, he at least can control and pass a ball. He was the only one trying to stretch them. As for Sterling and Mendy they were atrocious, how slow was Mendy getting back for that goal Let's hope Kdb is not out for long. I thought at half time he might have brought Stones on and gone to a back 3

Sigh, I really tried, really tried based on my experience of being hasty with Sane but Torres is really trying my patience. Out on the wing he is absolutely completely useless.
 
Again he will say he would have not fielded this team if he was thinking they are not capable of winning but would really love hear his honest opinion of Mendy and Sterling. I cant believe Pep does not see the negative effect of them playing and just adding anything to our game anymore apart from losing possession time after time.
 
We got what we deserved and what an absolute shambles our defence was for their goal

Both full backs were ineffective, as was Torres and Jesus
Sterling's head has gone or is he totally bereft of confidence!
Fernandinho got the runaround from Mount and then shone in the last twenty

Looking at our last three matches, Leeds, Dortmund and Chelsea, we've struggled to create chances

However, we'll beat spurs next week and tie up the prem soon, but PSG will shred us apart
