Can I ask, why you think we can’t win the champions league ? (no problem if you don’t reply). :)
 
Pep for me has gone out to win every pot available (unlike other managers) we’re a victim of our own success, to be involved in every competition at this stage of the season says something...he’s more than once given a second chance to certain players who have let him down , some who didn’t perform tonight had a chance to get a FA cup final appearance they didn’t take the chance and we’ll have to move on as will some who played tonight.
some moan regarding squad rotation but we’re in a position to win 4 league cups in 4 seasons 3 premier league winners in 4 seasons we couldn’t of achieved this without squad rotation s. And remember we didn’t invent the quad the media did .
let’s all take a breath and remember who we are and let’s bring some of that City humour back, I still see blue and white ribbons with a silver background.
 
I’d take 2nd place in the league, a runners up medal in the league cup and a CL semi final defeat to PSG. I set my goals high.

Probably because we are starting to concede too many easy goals and we don't have enough of a threat up top either. But since we are still in the competition we should not give up hope. I would say we have about the same chance as we had last time we got to the Semi and that will do me after a day like today.
 
Have this awful premonition of Mourinho smiling like a basket of chips next Sunday in his post-game press conference while we scratch our heads in disbelief at another trophy passing us by. I hope and trust that the rancid and corrupt CL is worth it:1618696835935.png

Honestly mate I think PSG will be far to quick for us, not saying I’m an expert on them as I’ve only watched them against Bayern, but the way they moved the ball even under pressure was so quick and precise and direct I just think they’ll cut through us, especially with us playing teams happy to sit back and go at our pace all season, expecting them to pile it on early and bury us on the back foot, but that’s just my opinion and fingers crossed it’s a wrong one
 
-- The Premier League is vital to both the club and us fans.
-- The Champions League us vital to the club (and its future ambitions / growth) and to some of us fans.
-- The cups are nice and a great day out (in non-covid times, anyway) but less important.

Pep is trying to manage all of the above to reach the best conclusion.

What is open to question is whether this really requires changing 7 or 8 players every game ? No other team seems to do this, even when they are still in every competition ... and there is the danger that it disrupts things and damages confidence.
 
League and PL. I think I originally had the FA and PL...

Edit: Just like the whores on Tib street, Peps mantra is ‘any cup’ll do’
 
League and league cup minimum with where we are sat currently.

CL who knows what might happen. But some fight and heart and we have a chance. Hopefully today serves as a reminder of how hard you have to work to win. Just when we needed the squad strength to show we have 8 players who can go in the bin.

Leeds was supposed to be the lesson and today we were appalling until Foden came on.

I am ok with that but I don't think we are going to win the CL, just league and league cup, I believe psg will win it this year but I hope Im wrong
