I'm a City supporter first and football second.

I've not come across too many rivals fans who have a good word to say about my club, so I won't be rushing to self flaggilate myself for the good of football.

I want what is good for my football club and nothing else.

That was before we had money and now we have it.

I trust Khaldoon to do right by our club, they haven't let us down yet.

Yes, I would want City relegated and our history scrapped along with all the others... IF we are involved!

Because, if involved, UEFA FIFA and all the domestic leagues have said they will ban us from playing in our domestic competitions so from then on, all this will be will be a breakaway football league to run alongside domestic competitions. So we’d be out of them anyway.

I’ll no longer be a City fan if we go along with these shysters and end up in this breakaway league.

Let’s hope City/Khaldoon get this right!

I think you need to go back and read the posts of a lot of folks. It is a very clear step in the direction of binning off the domestic leagues and forming a Pan-European Super League, regardless of how such a competition would work in its first incarnation.

It's just hyperbole.

Football is already a closed shop, as others have stated, Uefa suddenly coming over all morally offended is just laughable.

They were complicit with AC Milan and other clubs to introduce FFP, ensuring a closed shop, barring the occasionally romantic anomoly.

Prior to 2007 we would not have been a part of the conversation, but now we are, they pulled the drawbridge up not long after.

The Premier League has a multitude of clubs who are happy to just exist and take the guaranteed £100m pot each year, without any real ambition beyond that.

Vested interests across the board.
 
The PL are hypocritical wankers - this is the same governing body that created the divide between rich and poor and helped establish the cartel domestically

Sky are shitting bricks because it is probably understood that the independent clubs threatening this action would create their own subscribing TV base to broadcast their games around the world

As I wrote before, it’s easier for an American used to national closed professional sports leagues to see the model here, because American owners are precisely the ones fucking football up with this.
