I've not seen a single person on here say anything positive about it or even try and defend City for their involvement, thought I'd check out redcafe thinking surely even they would be the same, and whilst the majority of it are saying the same as us, there's a surprising amount of people on there actually trying to back it. I imagine rawk have already got 6 threads blaming Everton and Chelsea fans and have photoshopped liverpools name out of the statement.

Of course they back it. Them, Arsenal, Spuds, AC Milan etc will be secretly loving it. They just got a huge pile of cash and access to a competition they don't have to earn their way into or get relegated from. They are total winners in this scenario. They bought their way back into relevance.

Separated ourselves were tho? If we don’t join we will not be able to compete for honours. Shitty move but I can’t see how the club had an alternative avenue. Awful for football as a whole. We could have taken the moral high ground but in 2/3 years we might as well start from 2012. In a business sense it makes sense.

It does not mean it is right and you could argue morally wrong. I have sympathy for football in general but not for the likes of Leicester, Everton etc who have done nothing but try to destroy our success.
