So 18 'league games' then assuming two legged quarters and semis gives 23 total games.

How can they say this won't interfere with the domestic calender, it is impossible to have both.
Exactly.

It‘s the start of the end of football as we know it.

As I said earlier, Super League will be weekend football within a few years max.

city have no choice here but to go along with this, the financial rewards are just to great to refuse, the club is being maped to becoming one of the best teams/greatest clubs in the world and there not going to do that by not joining the elite and staying in a devalued PL, we wont be suspended by the PL that isnt going to happen, this will simply replace the CL and fuck UEFA off in the process
I agree, but it's still shameful, the poll on this thread tells you all you need to know about what us the fans think.

FIFA and UEFA may have the balls to ban teams and players but no way will the premier league do that.

Would they really bin off the 6 biggest teams in the league? Absolutely no chance. The 6 English teams have made the ultimate gamble and I think domestically it will pay off

Will it be impossible to be relegated from? I thought I read on the City statement that 5 teams will qualify on merit. That can't happen every year without some form of relegation. Unless I misread the City statement of course.
The 5 teams will be rolling, the 12(15)founders will be guaranteed a place regardless, arsenal could realistically get relegated next season and find themselves playing in the championship and the super league

I know everyone's emotional but at least read the statement before discussing it.

The new annual tournament will provide significantly greater economic growth and support for European football via a long-term commitment to uncapped solidarity payments which will grow in line with league revenues. These solidarity payments will be substantially higher than those generated by the current European competition and are expected to be in excess of €10 billion during the course of the initial commitment period of the Clubs.

they do have solidarity plans. What we need to see is how these actually stack up to the current system.

To be honest all in all this proposal seems very similar to the proposal UEFA are supposed to be unveiling tomorrow. Just fewer teams and only 5 spots for qualifying. Which is shit, but not that different from UEFAs idea.

Haha really? Fuck me how naive are you, maybe stupid or just dishonest who knows. One born every minute. Enjoy your super league city vs spurs half and half scarf.
