maybe, in this way, the new ESL is more honest? the previous model did harp on about level playing fields etc far too much. This way they can weed out the fans they dont want (me) and simply continue with the ones that are happy to accept the nature of the business for what it is.West Ham have a chance to qualify for the Champions league and earn that revenue they can break through the invisible barrier.
The wall is no longer invisible - it's a big overt, fuck you, you peasant, Berlin wall with reinforced steel and barbed wire around.
It wasn't perfect, but now it's completely fucked.
Would be funny tbf.financial suicide if they did.
good pointpeople slagging off City need to open their eyes. what choice did they have ? we could rebel and win a meaningless premier league every year . we'd earn fuck all. we certainly won't sign the likes of KDB. we have to go with this to stay relevant . we of all clubs don't need this money but we do need the sporting challenge .
If I was the domestic leagues I’d kick them out now and that includes City, the top 4 is irrelevant now, imagine West Ham get fourth! I’d be fucking spewing as a Hammer.Rags
AC Milan
Inter Milan
Juventus
All confirmed now they have left the ECA
Oh for sure, but it would be short term hysterical.financial suicide if they did.
i get your point, but i'll tell the truth and say I can't reconcile the word honesty and this movement and probably won't be able to for a while.maybe, in this way, the new ESL is more honest? the previous model did harp on about level playing fields etc far too much. This way they can weed out the fans they dont want (me) and simply continue with the ones that are happy to accept the nature of the business for what it is.
Like Rugby did. Instead, the franchise model, no promotion or relegation protectionism encourages mad spending, look what top players are paid in the NFL or NBA.Yep. If these founder members wield so much power in the game, they could have used it for good, by coming together and putting an end to the exorbitant player wages. Instead of agreeing to a new ESL to "protect" football, they could have agreed that all new player contracts couldn't be more than X amount and actually protected football.
Apparently if players get banned from playing for their countries Perez has said he’ll make a new world cup
State. Of. This
wankers every single club who’s signed up to this
Well for a start Arsenal arent in the CL this season or next as they finished way outside the top 4 and have done for the last 5 years. United failed to get top 4 2 or 3 times in recent years, what gives them all a god given right to be in it year in year out regardless of how they perform? How is that any different from now with the CL?
It is the truth.Sadly this is the truth.
