I am hoping and praying that City release a statement saying something along the lines of 'following consultation within the club with it's shareholders and supporters, we wish to reverse our decision to join the ESL, and believe we made a mistake in initially joining. We look forward to further dialogue with all relevant organizations'.

Or something to that effect. I hold zero hope.

We've shit all over 'smaller' clubs we really have and those who think this is acceptable should remember that not that long ago we were on of those clubs.

It's an absolute fucking disgrace it really is.

A big "FUCK YOU!" to City and to anyone who is anything less than disgusted with our club for being part of this

I suspect their will still be value in the PL with the 6 there. Very little without them. Would be more like a glorified Championship with the income to match. There could also be a PL team or two still harbouring hopes of being invited to join that perhaps wouldn't want to piss the 6 off.

Time will tell. I would love things to continue as they are but I think it has gone beyond that now.
There'll be no value when the likes of the dippers and rags start fielding u23 teams to prioritise their ESL games (remember we're talking about one club that didn't turn up for the FA Cup and another who's manager decided he couldn't be arsed managing an FA Cup game). When there's no fight for European places.

Porto has been asked to join but refused saying it's against the principals of football.
There will be more clubs saying the same as the day goes on.

Yep - because that’s the best spin to put on it, to paint them as bastions of all that’s good in the game.

Fact is if they were offered a place, it would have been on shit terms (ie: not one of the 15 core teams), so they probably decided to stay put as a big fish in the UEFA version.

But of course - it’s all a moral stand for the good of the game!

So basically JP Morgan have offered £4.5 Billionish to finance this, hence it’s all about money and wherever the money is. for our owners thats change down the back of the sofa, so why not blow the fuckers out of water and make a rival bid? Shift the balance of power away from the yank owned clubs? Football sold its soul decades if not a century ago, be funny as fuck to watch them all come grovelling to our owners.

it could happen. They only need the 14 votes to do it
It could but already there has already been legal moves to prevent any sanctions being applied I guess they anticipated this and as long as they haven't broken any rules any regulations the uninvited and UEFA can probably do fuck all about it :(

Pep must have been privy to this and support it.

He only signed a new contract in November and the owners must have shared some of the vision with him, especially as he classes them as "friends". On the other side of this, if he signed that contract and had no prior warning or knowledge and hates the idea, I can see him walking.

If he was supportive then I'm hopeful the full details will make a lot more sense than this current wall of silence....

You know what, I would deduct enough points from each of these clubs to ensure they fail to qualify for any European football next season.

All 6 teams can go and fuck themselves.
Just relegate the 3 that finish lowest in the table >:)
