I don't think it's either of those (Ex Player or Sky Pundit) ... it's a lower league club owner worried for his club's future, that's what's driving his putting on this façade of being the man of the people.
Interesting perspective you have right there.

Never thought of it like that.

This Earthquake in football will cause a Tsunami that will result in waves crashing all through the game.

And you are right he will feel them as a small Club owner.

totally agree it’s just another move away from me as a fan. City as a business will follow the money and can justify it to their shareholders . We have USPE as a shareholder for gods sake.
.
however as a fan i just feel more removed from top flight football. I was contemplating not renewing my season card with var, the diving , cheating and general play acting that goes on . It’s not the same.

this though is just the final nail for me and my match going days at city

i guess we have gone full on glory. I will have my TV team which is city and I will follow city on the tele. May be try and get an away game trip in Europe Now and then.

however my real fix of football and meeting mates for a beer at the game will now be following altrincham.
You are Antony Taylor and I claim my £5

Considering I don't think we own the Etihad? (could be mistaken)

Is there anything stopping Manchester council for kicking us out and making us find a new place to play. The government are obviously opposed to this.

They don't do irony mate ,they are far too thick for that.

The difference with us and them is, we still actually have a soul.

Our support base is made up of mostly of local, working class people, fans who really care about the Club. Entire families of Blues that go back generations.

I always find it funny when they use the derogatory term "Plastics"

When this is essentially their fan support bases in a Nut Shell.

Home games consist of traffic Jams on the M6,and Ryan Air Flights from Ireland.

Where as ours it is grid lock on Princess Parkway and M60.
We still very much have a core of proper working class fans, but our recent success has also seen us attract the glory hunters, many millions of them around the globe.
I think we still have that soul too,but there can be no denying the fact with each passing year it is slowly being eaten away.

What grinds my gears is the total ignorance from the Rags that their empire hasn't been built on dodgy deals/creative marketing/sponsorship,brown envelopes and more.....

Will someone be brave enough to ask the decision makers at the club if they stand by their promise to always listen to the fans and do what is in our best interests, considering the OVERWHELMING majority who are fundamentally opposed to this?

We need to make ourselves heard in any way possible. We need to force them to either back off or publicly accept that they don't give a fuck what we want, and it's all about business. Then we'll know where we stand.

Enough of this "oh well City were pushed into it" from journalists. You made a fancy video when UEFA banned us, make one now.

As consumers I guess the only things we can do is voice displeasure and vote with our wallets. Need to somehow turn the Bundesliga into the most popular league in the world I guess. I spent some time in Frankfurt for work and it’s a good industrial city maybe they can start an exchange program

harsh! a lot of my red mates (st holders as well) seem to be discussing about whether fc united or Salford city is the way to go - talking about the working mans game being stolen etc

We won't be missed mate. They don't want the likes of us there anyway.

If the Super League goes ahead, sadly other teams will follow. Eventually it will be the fall of UEFA and the beginning of a new age.

Football has become more of a business many years ago, its just now that the big clubs are taking it to another level especially that all these clubs are privately owned and run as businesses.

Everyone is going to hate me when I say this but once the Super League starts many of us will find ourselves watching it and maybe even enjoying it even if deep down inside the bitterness of the whole ordeal will remain with us.

We can be angry today and feel or say whatever we want, but the big question is what will you do once the Super League starts? Where will you stand?
