It's all but dead already.

You know when a proposal, which becomes an issue, get's as high as the Prime Minister, it won't happen.

Boris Johnson vows to block European Super League

'I don't like the look of these proposals. We are going to look at everything that we can do to make sure that this doesn't go ahead'
Thank god for that. The great thing about Boris is that he never goes back on his word

All these players now tweeting and voicing their opinions ... from their multimillion pound mansions paid for by the crazy money being paid into their bank accounts every week.

Most elite players are every bit as greedy as the elite clubs they play for. Do they not see they're part of the problem?

Haaland will cost a fortune to sign. Why is that? Greedy selling club, greedy agent and a greedy player.

It's how it is. The Super League is just another example.

Yeah but look who the Prime Minister is...

Yes, but this is a Prime Minister with a somewhat loose relationship with the truth.

Well done Ander Herrera (coming from someone who thinks he's a right prick on the pitch).

He didn’t mention that his boss has the rights to broadcast the champions league through bein sports or that he sits on the uefa board or that he used corrupt methods to land the World Cup. Nothing but another know nothing mouthpiece.

the honourable 3rd option was to keep the status quo, let the rats fuck off to their new league and fight for a better league to remain in.

That wouldn't have been the status quo though, would it? It would devalue the PL and the CL, which would destroy us financially.

The status quo was never really an option once this thing started. Either in or out.

Hmm so Johnson thinks it's a bad idea.

I may have to rethink....

Anyway a quick bung and he'll be onside.

You do realise that City will be akin to Aston Villa currently are in the PL in this plastic league? Old boys will get the most of the money

Not dead to me.
They're only changing European football, why the tears ?

Because it won't only change European football - we might have seen the future in our lineups and performance v Leeds and Chelsea. The priority will be the ESL match on Wednesday and our PL team will become the reserves for that. Now that might be mean we see more of the youngsters coming through and they get opportunities to play at a higher level than going on loan to the Championship, and we have a better place for players who need to come back from injury or pick up some form - but week to week we will be seeing the second team playing in the PL, especially if we have had a bad start and don't need to try and get into the top four to qualify for next years CL. And that will be the same for all the ESL clubs - the PL revenues will become less significant for them all and so they will do enough to stay there and earn whatever can be earned from it - but the next TV deal will reduce in value and so it becomes less important. Where is the jeopardy in City Reserves v Liverpool reserves to see who finishes seventh. Perhaps we might have fun messing up Leeds when they need 3 points to win the PL - but at the end of the day it won't really matter - because on Wednesday we are playing Real Madrid for the chance to play in the Grand Final coming live from Yokohama on a streaming service created just for you.
