If we pull out of this we can indeed be heroes. But it will be just for one day because we deserve a load of hate and vitriol for even agreeing to it.

City have dropped a bollock by agreeing to this in the first place and they’ll be dropping the other if they aren’t the first to back out

Bang on mate

Don't think any of us will look at the club the same afterwards, but being the first to drop out would salvage something.

Come on City, the sooner the better

We need to get ours in first, that's my only advice.

If a club is to crack, it absolutely has to be ours, otherwise we really are on our own.

Only City and Chelsea are not backed into a corner, because of finances.

The team that steps back from the brink will earn enough PR kudos to offset pretty much all that came before it.
Spot on, sh1t or bust.

I though the FFP verdict was monumental, well this is bigger, we come out first and we may still have a little credibly left.

I want us to be the club that pulls out - as we all do

But lets get one thing straight as well. If we do decide to do the right thing and leave this ESL proposal then we need to make sure that there are reforms at UEFA bot institutionally and with its competition

UEFA should not in any way shape or form be seen as a good guy in all of this, they have ultimately led European football into this saga buy giving away power every year, piece by fucking piece to the old G14 mafia
If we're considering pulling out then I'm sure we're talking to UEFA as well about this.

And we make hundreds of millions as well, unless you think we have been duped into getting £10 whilst the rest get the others. Stop making out like City are some fucking no mark with no clue what they are doing, we are going to get our slice of this as well everyone else.

Unless of course you know the full details having read the contracts, in which case please let us know.

And therein lies the problem in a nutshell, money money and more money. Most football fans don't want to sell their heritage for cash hence the backlash by the "Invited" clubs fans.

Gary Neville quoted those figures for what the rags could generate on their in-house tv channel for a live game. Unfortunately we are nowhere near that.
Broadcasting money is what this is all about. The fact is that MUFC and LFC want to control and profit directly from selling their own games instead of UEFA taking a huge wedge of sponsor money and SKY/BT cashing in. The technology now is easy as shown by boxing. UEFA will have to make concessions on this in exchange for the dropping of the crazy US idea of closed competitions which will never be accepted by fans in Europe or most players and managers.

Here's why I'm not convinced it's us:

I don't think our owners are so out of touch that they wouldn't have been fully aware of the vitriol and anger this would create. They surely knew we would all hate it.

I find it easier to believe that FSG with their "I don't understand why English football even has more than one league" (or whatever they said) would be the ones not realising fans would hate this.

We will get our slice no denying, but we wont be competitive as others will just can spend more due to 55% spending cap ratio.

City aint winning this league, thats for certain.
Look, did we give up on the squad and manager when we went down one goal to Dortmund?

Wait, I actually shouldn't have asked YOU that.
