This is definitely City.

I hope so. There’s an element of heart over head in that, but we don’t have the international fan base of the others (bar Spurs) that ESL might appeal to TV wise, and it pisses all over the soft power play that was the whole point of the Sheikh getting involved in the first place.

We’ve a proud 13 year history of sportwashing and I demand we uphold it.

In seriousness tho, we need to get the fuck out. I genuinely would fall out of love with us if we don’t.

Good news and hopefully true.

Though I don’t see how United or Liverpool could have misled us or any other founder club. I said this earlier, but the statements from each club were identical, and that indicates to me that a pre-contract has been signed. I don’t see how we would have done that without considerable legal and commercial review.

Putting that to one side, the club has published a Glazer quote on its site, and put its name on a stern letter to UEFA et al. Even if we now back out, I don’t think that can be forgiven by the fans, but we can probably learn to ignore it with time
"Fuc**ing Up" Khaldoons English is getting better and better

Here's why I'm not convinced it's us:

I don't think our owners are so out of touch that they wouldn't have been fully aware of the vitriol and anger this would create. They surely knew we would all hate it.

I find it easier to believe that FSG with their "I don't understand why English football even has more than one league" (or whatever they said) would be the ones not realising fans would hate this.
Given our toxic relationship with UEFA (who have still not budged on FFP) it makes it very hard for us to throw them a lifeline but at the moment UEFA look like the lesser of two evils so we have to be pragmatic.

I don’t know why but I am starting to envisage this ending up doing a lot of good for the English game.

I am picturing a scenario where City and Chelsea, quickly followed by Spurs pull out, leaving United, Liverpool and Arsenal to carry the can as the main instigators behind this.

It leaves 17 Prem teams forming an alliance and ripping the power away from the 3 outcasts. Prem meetings consist of 17 clubs with similar values and 3 fucking idiots sat in the corner doing as they are told.

Fanciful?

There is no way in the World that this isn’t City.

Whether they decide to exit is another thing.

Closed ShopWankers.

Talks of legislation being introduced within government.

We do need regulation when all this is over, maybe not from government but at least from an independent body.

Please God let it be us, and that we do the right thing.
I hope they do the right thing but it would smack of even more cowardice. They hadn't the decency to run it by the fans, they were underhanded and sneaky and now because of the backlash they haven't the fucking bollocks to go through with it.

Speak to the fans first to get your moral compass

Well I would have thought if they had spaces to fill they would first spare the relegated teams. So we get to keep the magic of West Brom, Fulham and Sheffield Utd over Reading, Cardiff and Millwall :)

It will be weird seeing the new top 4 goal being 7th-10th.

You’re right I think. Bayern especially are fucking devious and self-centred, if this goes ahead they will find a way to join. If it doesn’t go ahead no harm done for them.

Bayern essentially run the ECA and Uefa, Nasser from PSG was put on the board last year.

These two had a lot more to lose by signing up straight away. Bayern, because they dominate Germany, while PSG dominate France.
