For years as a City supporter I dreamed of being in a position of such power that we could effect the game ,as the likes of other teams ,for years that we were in the wildernesses and now we had a chance to change every thing ..... and we have ... in the right way , we turned away from greed even though our heads were turned and now in the words of the great Stan Lee we see the true meaning of the words 'with great power comes great responsibility' ..... I really hope this makes some kind of sense

Chelsea technically the last English side in following those statements

Do get the feeling we were by far the first ones out of this and torpedo'd the whole thing, Chelsea just leaked their part to placate the fans outside
Absolutely this. The fact they had an angry mob outside the gates persuaded them to break their gentlemen’s agreement with City on the timing of the announcement.
David Yelland, ex Sun editor, is a blue, think he was in the London branch at some stage

This isn't quite over yet. What is going to be interesting is what souness has just touched on

If anyone signed a contract then leaves, they have to pay a fine?

Let's see what pèrez says tomorrow and see if there is any weight in that threat
The fines will be the equivalent amount to whatever figure the Spanish teams debts currently reside at.

In a strange, perverse way - I’ve enjoyed this thread. City fans coming together (aside from 5.4%) against something in its entirety. My eyes have been glued to it and I’ve replied to it more times than the Messi one which says something.

It’s been a ride and thank fuck we won. Football won. Glad I was going through it with you lot rather than sitting there with my own thoughts!!
