According to BBC football website....

Manchester City were the first club to pull out after Chelsea had signalled their intent to do so by preparing documentation to withdraw.
BBC Breakfast making a lot of St Hendo's comments almost as if he on his own swayed things all on his own before Silly Sally comes in almost invisible like an Easyjet stewardess against an orange background.
First of all she says it is debatable who was first to come out and then with breathtaking stupidity even for her, is shown utters:fRo. E
'Manchester City and Chelsea are almost owned by countries, if you like......'.
Well Sally l don't like it because it's bollocks about City and even more bollocks about Mother Russia 'almost owning' Chelsea.
40 minutes later the question of ownership is quickly forgotten but once more the tweet by Henderson at 2100 is given major signicance and even Raheems short tweet before she seems determined to say Chelsea were the saviours 'although City were involved in discussions from early morning.'
That is small beer who did what first. 1Once again United and Liverpool whose owners were the major players in this situation get let off lightly.
The fact the Hateful Eight, led by these two made, made an effort to reorganise the PL and to get City found guilty by CAS and failed seems to be forgotten. Not by me.

Hattenstone has a piece in the MUG.

Basically blaming fans for not protesting about Thaksin and Sheikh Mansour. He neglects to mention that it's not individual owners but the profit system, but that's the Guardian for you. Blaming the fans lack of activism for what we now have. The whole of football is ruined basically not because of bad apples Mr Hattenstone but because of a political system which your newspaper supports. Putting foreigners in the dock because they aren't part of the UK political system isn't particularly useful either. You were wrong. Not us.

Hattenstone is the undisputed handwringing champion of the world. Every article about City is just a rewrite of his previous article. Gets on my tits worse even than Conn and Schindler

I haven't watched the BBC for around three years now unless they have a live City game on. They lie, mislead and distort the news, be it football or any other subject, but people still believe they are a reputable organisation. Unfortunately I have a BT subscription and still have to pay my license fee but as soon as that ends the corporation won't be getting another penny off me and it won't be missed.

The PR teams will kick in now. and the media will decide which footballer saved English football. Brush, carpet job done. Nothing will change.

The express giving it to the Rags and dippers greedy owners, at last the press slowly starting to see these fuckers ain't what they thought all these years

The latest 'news' is that City pulled out first, while Chelsea were completing the paper work as if City cheated and sneaked it through.
They've just shown an apology from John Henry to the Liverpool fans which they big up of course. No mention about the 'inconvenience' as he calls it to any other fans just a creepy insincere apology to his own clubs fans.
Now John Barnes saying what Pep said was invalid because we have more money than others. Just a few weeks after the report that his old club were now the 5th richest in the world.
Cunts everywhere.

Daily Star.

Fans fume as Aleksander Ceferin welcomes Man City 'back to European football family'

Not going to lie, my head’s gone now.

I had to read that article by Herbert twice to make sure I wasn't imagining it.. even with the errors contained in it, it's like watching a re-enactment of the Damascene Conversion..

A few years late, Herbert old son but welcome nonetheless.

'Stone me!' as St Stephen might say..
