Erling Haaland

You missed out the important bit "at the price being quoted".
Haaland is going to command a ridiculous transfer fee. And I think - most likely he'd be worth it.

My main point though - is that - under current management - we've never, ever signed a top-top talent priced at top-top fees.

Instead we seek value for our player investments. Haaland is going to go for an enormous fee - we've never paid such a massive fee... and though I'd like for us to pony up and simply buy Haaland - I don't think that we will - especially given Pep's comments.

Looking increasingly likely Dortmund will get champs league football again next season. Shame was hoping they would miss out making it easier to get him this summer

Frankfurt win tonight and Dortmund are four adrift with nine points to play for

Against waves of attack after Bellingham’s sending off but one good ball for him and he’s zooms off to score a goal. Very good counter.

Uhhhh, he's like a slightly faster Dzeko or something.

I rather doubted that we'd be in for Haaland - because we've never, ever - under recent management pursued top-priced talent - instead our management has identified very talented players who are undervalued and then attempted to sign them.

Moreover, because Pep has stated publicly that we're not in position to pursue Halaand due to economic constraints - and since I've yet to witness any false statements from Pep (lying is not in his nature) - I think that the likelihood of Halaand joining our side in the next window - approaches near zero.

The only likelihood for us possibly signing Halaand is that he somehow expresses fondness for our club (his father played for us) and desires very much to play under a Pep-led side.

Still - I think the likelihood for us signing Halaand is less than 1% - it's not going to happen.

First part, valid point about management and type of 'top target by many' player we don't typically buy. Although we have never hesitated paying what it takes for the right player that fits the profile.

Re pep's comments, time and conext. A point in time.. within a given context.

Don't think that's the case, Frankfurt win tonight there 4 clear with 3 bottom-tier teams to play, while Dortmund still have a couple of good teams to play.

We can’t afford not to. Especially as our only real weak point is a clinical striker and finishing chances.

We cannot see him go to Chelsea or rags otherwise either would probably beat us to the title next season. That must not happen.

It is Wolfsburg theynare more likely to overtake

People who still think he’s staying at Dortmund haven’t been reading the tea leaves well

Not seen any claims he is staying at dortmund, in a long long time.
