I think you underestimate Tory voters mate. This is the sort of headline/story that follows you around. The flat decoration and stuff is noise but no one really cares so you can ride that type of headline out. If this sticks the party will see him as toxic (ie he can’t be trusted not to say stupid shit) and he will go either by being ousted or choice - personally I would favour the former as it shows the tories won’t stick for this type of thing.

The tories care more about being in power than they do about Boris. If this is still headlines by end of this week he won’t be there come the summer. Hope he decorated the flat in neutral colours

He seems to have changed his mind over the ESL but only because of the negative publicity it was getting in his new Blue Wall seats - as has been said before the Tory Party exists only to be in power and enrich its donors so if it looks bad post the upcoming election he will be ousted.
