Whoah calm down with the points to candlepool bit. Huge fine and 10 pts deduction for scum and 6 pts deduction for the scousers next season seems about right.

Politics at the moment is obsessed with harnessing the mob, so I doubt there'll be any pressure from government on this. Let alone the media, who live for eeking out a living from following public opinion and stoking up controversy.

Don't disagree with any of that. I'm not backing their reasons, as I said, they only want somebody to out spend the rest yet have the audacity to claim our trophies don't matter for that same reason. I just can't mock or slate the idea of fan power
