Gary Neville forms pundit army to help fight any further Big Six breakaway plots, with former Man United captain setting up WhatsApp group including BT rivals Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand and Jake Humphrey

Jesus there's a new thread waiting to be born.....name the WhatsApp group name.

And you thought City were bitter?

It's the debt they saddled the club with, they couldn't afford to buy united so borrowed and then transfered the repayments to united, the rags arguement (well the ones who have been doing this for a decade now) is that no loan repayments and debt well that money would be reinvested into the club.

If the club suddenly lost revenue and stopped turning a profit then they would go under as financially they are fucked if unsucessful.

We would hate it if own owner had done the same tbf.

However they still compete and the debt is managable and because of their global brand the likelyhood of revenue dipping to a point where it is an issue is slim so they have fuck all to moan about, and insult fans of bury, pompey, chester, macc etc when they compare their situation with them.
I do have some sympathy with United (and clubs like Burnley) who have been taken over by owners that have used leveraged debt loaded onto the club. The Glazers couldn't have done that in the NFL under their rules.

But the United fans don't seem to see any irony in complaining their owners have put none of their own money in while simultaneously complaining that ours have put their own money in.

Honestly I dont really see what the Glazer's have done wrong.
Spent over a billion pounds on players in the last 10 years.
Could argue that they have spent much on the swamp, or training ground.
Rags moan that the Glazer's havent spent their own money yet it was Gill who brought in ffp to stop owners spending their own money.

I personally believe even if the Glazer's had spent millions on doing up the swamp and doing up the training grounds the rags would still want them out.

Why because utd are now shit, not top of the tree any more. City have come along and been run very successfully. The rags cant take it.

The rags could have the best owners in world football and they would still want them out.

Simple fact is their are entitled twats who cant take losing. Even by most teams standards would take utds position of being second in the league and the final of the Europe league. Every other club would bite their hands of to be as shit as utd.

They cant except not being top , end of , nothing to do with ESL they want to be were City are , and are behaving like little spoiled brats, the school yard bully whistle been taken down a peg or two.

The most fucking annoying thing in all this for me is that little rat faced twat Neville.
Talk about a champagne socialist man of the people multi millionaire.
He's the biggest hypocrite going.
Failed manager and bang average player. Cant stand the ****.
Him and Spitty.
How dare you indeed!!!!!

His playing ability was so astronomically high that he could only be replaced by Danny Mills for the 2002 World Cup in Japan & Korea..............

I wonder what the fall-out will be, insurance wise, for Manchester Ushited following Sunday's debacle. Indeed, apart from the property damage side of things, apparently there were 6 police injured. We all have seen the one with the horrific facial injury. Who will be held liable for the various injury issues, loss of earnings etc etc?.

In addition to physical injury, I suspect we will also have mental injury trauma for police and MUFC employees, possible PTSD and so on. One day of stupidity from a number of idiot supporters and this will roll on for months if not years.

I for one am very interested in the direction this takes, and the measures the FA, Premier League, and other clubs (home and abroad) will take to ensure that an incident like this NEVER happens again.

Truly shocking stuff.

We used to call it hooliganism.

PTSD? Seriously? It was a pretty tame affray at most. Maybe the guy with the wound, but otherwise anyone who suffers PTSD after that is a sad indictment on modern society.

It’s amazing that United didn’t have better security in place , at this time of potentially giving City the PL.

everyone remembers just 4 months ago, the thousands of fans staging protests, swamping social media, the outrage of what has become of football from the media…

they were so in your face I think I must have blanked it, back when it was United and Liverpool as the top 2 in the PL…I think there might be some evidence from Wio’s Twitter feed, something about ‘happy new year’…clearly foreshadowing his knowledge of future events

Jake Humphrey? I didn't know Norwich were in the big six.

The sad facts are united was never in debt till 2005 when the glazers took over and put them in debt.
Owners shouldn’t be able to do this and the fact they take dividend payments out of the club is morally wrong.
I understand the united fans frustration and I believe all of us as fans should unite to stop these evil people ruining our football clubs.
Nothing sad about anything that accelerates the demise of your shithouse of a club ...!

Your last sentence is the main issue, they spend on players and manage the debt. I am not a financial expert but this seems to be a sustainable situation at this time. Does the level of debt affect the spending ability of the club at this time?
Presumably that is why anyone invests in anything to eventually or immediately make more than they invest.

We are very lucky our owner is still in the investment phase of his City purchase whereas United are a more mature investment.
