Show of support planned before PSG and Chelsea games

To much risk for adverse publicity with this idea. Yes, we want to support the club and team, but giving an opportunity for some drunken idiots, rags in disguise, or staged media bottle throwing, especially at this critical moment will not sit well. It could land the club in a lot of trouble. Please be smart, be City and proud, and as hard as it may be stay away.

Give even those cretins some credit. They won't turn up as rags they will pretend to be City fans as they want to cause us grief not themselves. A bit like when away fans used to infiltrate the home end in the days of pay at the turnstiles then kick off once inside.
You have a head full of magic.

Stop it. Mother of God.

You might be able to see it but it's simply not going to happen. It's just another in a very long line of Internet theories that never ever actually happen in reality. Imagine the two clubs were reversed, would you as a city fan wanting the owners out go down to old Trafford on a champions league semi final game to try and make some kind of point? Or a more likely scenario, would you or any blue you know be prepared to go down to the next old Trafford protest undercover to cause trouble and have it reflect poorly on united? It's sheer lunacy. I really don't get what world some people live in where they think this is something that's going to happen.
I posted about it the other day. These pant pissers were telling us that we shouldn't have a fucking trophy parade in 2012 if I remember correctly because 20,000 United were going to turn up for a fight. It's utter and total delusion.

It's like trying to tell your kid not to walk along the edge of a drop. Yes I trust you to make good decisions but why do something that's risky in the first place. Don't come running to me when you break your legs! :-)

Oh man it gets worse. Neil Custis and Migel Delaney are going to rock up wearing plastic nose/moustaches and throw bottles at the PSG coach.

You give them too much credit. They wouldn't be able to contain it, no way.

Why the fuck are people spouting this nonsense? It's the worst "Reds under the bed" paranoia i've seen in 15 years on the forum.
Nothing to do with paranoia. Do you really think utds protest had nothing to do with us also being able to win the league on Sunday ? Of course it was.

my point is the police should expect the worse case scenario just like Sunday. Utd had been saying for a week they were going to protest just like Liverpool on 2 occasions had a welcome committee for our coach yet zero police presence.

The police should be prepared

Staying away is the easy option.

Getting off your arse and making a show of supporting the team is the more taxing alternative.

You're flapping for no reason.

It's a party, not a protest. It's going to be good-natured.

There will be plenty of opportunities to support the team when the rulles allow it. Staying away is not only the easy option, it is the legal option. Pep doesn't want it, the club doesn't want it, GMP doesn't want it. It doesn't make you less of a blue for doing what they ask.
