So transparent. Everyone knows it isn't a fairytale story. It is what it is, but with that loaded question the listeners will vent their fury.
Jordan is just a failed club owner, reading from a script.
H&J will have the same kind of airing that breakfast had, and then back to good cop/bad cop from 4. They know what they're doing.

It's always been the same in football and almost every other business. The better personnel you can recruit the more successful you are. Even Leicester's title winning squad cost almost 30 million. Peanuts compared to the very top squads but still a lot of money.

My money is on Durham saying City fans hate the competition until they happen to be in the final.

he's fucking spot on and manchester city have loads of it. we are printing our own money and revenue and profit before covid-19 was the best in the world of football. add winning silverware prize money at this rate we will be richer than sheikh mansour hahahaha
 
Talksport is not an ideal and there may be an element of it being scripted. But at least it does have ex City players on and presenters on who praise us. And those who do criticise us can be questioned. At least it’s not the spineless Delaney Harris etc who just solely spout anti City tripe and don’t engage in debates.

If Roma win 4-0 tonight and the rags are knocked out. It's highly unlikely but I bet the headline on Jim Shite will be "Who's the bigger bottlers. Rags or Spuds?"

Fair point. They need the “plastics” I suppose for listening figures. And yes it is a bit contrived. But it’s not the BBC Guardian What’s App Group’s LFC MUFC mouthpiece
 
Saw the CBS analysis and wow what's happened to Carragher?

He's fallen in love with Dias (haven't we all), he had about a 5min monologue about how great he is...like a love struck teenager.

Father Reuben was giving him some impure thoughts. He still managed a dig at stones though saying Dias made him look good.

Why are the media, and social media channels if you pay any attention to that, running with this narrative of - well it's not much of a fairytale story or footballing miracle a team that has spent so many hundreds of millions making a CL final.
I've yet to hear a City fan, player, or anyone associated with the club describing it as such. Its yet another attempt to discredit our achievement and play it down.

If Real Madrid or Bayern Munich win the CL, or Germany or Brazil win the World Cup are they not allowed to celebrate it as it isn't a "footballing miracle"?

we are usually among the bookies favourites every season to win the CL, so who on earth is calling us underdogs?

Although if you compare money spent on star players and first XI's we probably were underdogs in the tie against PSG, but you won't hear that said.

I don't believe for a minute that Ferguson was involved in any sort of team talk for the PSG players. He's good mates with Pochettino by all accounts so was probably saying hello to him. Pochettino knew all about City's strengths and weaknesses, he's not some fucking conference manager
