"This was Guardiola's first Champions League semi-final with City but it was a sign of the maturity, development, sheer quality and the team ethic he has fostered that it was negotiated in such relative comfort.

He was quick to pay tribute to those who have made their contribution - and then departed the building - to this occasion, such as Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and David Silva. Sergio Aguero, who made a late appearance as a substitute, now has the chance to conclude his record-breaking Manchester City career in the most glittering fashion.

PSG lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final last season and after ousting the holders in the quarter-final, they thought they were on the way to make up for last season's disappointment. While they will rue the absence of the injured Kylian Mbappe in Manchester, over two legs City were just too good for them.

City will be favourites for the final after an outstanding campaign which has included seven straight wins in this competition, the first English club to achieve that feat.

The only sadness was that supporters who have been through so much over the years were not here to savour this landmark moment in Manchester City's history.

Those supporters stood firmly by the club in the bad days down in English football's third tier and suffered the years of Manchester United domination as downtrodden neighbours before emerging into the light amid the regular arrival of silverware over the past decade."

Lovely. Not saying who wrote it or where its from cause some people on here just get poisonous. Just enjoy it, drink it in.

Certain shows have an element of good cop, bad cop about them to get enraged plastics to ring in.

If Roma win 4-0 tonight and the rags are knocked out. It's highly unlikely but I bet the headline on Jim Shite will be "Who's the bigger bottlers. Rags or Spuds?"
They will win tonight if they turn up, shades of Scotland in Estonia.

The morning after City reach the CL final.

Tell you what else was chilling - many bowls of jelly in fridges up and down the country.

What a bitter ****.

In his rage and bitterness he also omits to mention the other 5 clubs that signed up the ESL and in particular the American own red shirt clubs who instigated the whole thing.

On the weekend of 17-18 April, senior management from
@ManCity SIGNED A CONTRACT TO JOIN THE ESL. Because they despised UEFA & Champions League so much & because they wanted to be part of an elite closed shop that would destroy football's pyramid.

I don't believe for a minute that Ferguson was involved in any sort of team talk for the PSG players. He's good mates with Pochettino by all accounts so was probably saying hello to him. Pochettino knew all about City's strengths and weaknesses, he's not some fucking conference manager

Totally agree, this is being blown out of proportion, and makes us look a bit silly imho. There's absolutely nothing Ferguson could say to Pochetino about us that he wouldn't already know! There's no story here fellas, move on, continue enjoying last night's performance, and the position we are now. Ferguson is last year's news.

Imagine on the same day your partner running off with your best mate, imagine your cat eating your favourite hamster and then being run over, imagine your knob falling off, imagine being scammed out of your life savings. Now appreciate how Harris is feeling. Hold the thought....lovely isn’t it.

I would miss my mate though

So transparent. Everyone knows it isn't a fairytale story. It is what it is, but with that loaded question the listeners will vent their fury.
Jordan is just a failed club owner, reading from a script.
H&J will have the same kind of airing that breakfast had, and then back to good cop/bad cop from 4. They know what they're doing.
Yes. Beating Gillingham was a fairy story as was 93.20. What has happened in the last decade is no fluke. It's what happens when you have a fantastic business plan and a magnificent team of people throughout your organisation and you support them and your local community with great investment. That is the only way you can ever achieve success and I am proud of what City have done.

He left the building with Al-Khelaifi and I don't believe for one minute Ferguson had anything other than a bad motive for being at the Lowry. You don't just bump into people like Al-Khelaifi.

did anybody see that oriol reliable barca reporter said that he will be talking about someone from city and now barca fans think hes talking about pep

Champions League final to remain in Istanbul

Man City 2-0 Paris St-Germain (Agg 4-1)

Simon Stone
BBC Sport
In light of Tuesday’s result, Uefa have once again confirmed their intention to host the Champions League final in Istanbul. However, they are hopeful the competing clubs will get at least 4,000 tickets each.
A Uefa spokesperson: “We expect a limited number of spectators and we are assured the temporary lockdown which is in force until 17 May should not have any impact on the match. Uefa continues to work closely with the Turkish Football Federation and the local and national authorities to stage the match safely.
“Detailed information regarding the capacity for the match, travel and ticketing details will be communicated publicly by the end of the week.”
