Erling Haaland

Going off that link then yep out of our range. Fair fucks for Dortmund for sticking to their guns on that.

Just Dortmund posturing really. Which I can't fault them for.

But they're a smart club and with his release clause relatively attainable next summer (think it's 70m?), I think they'll get more than that this upcoming window and will move him as long as they get a reasonable offer. Just reading the tea leaves.

Still think he's City bound. Just makes too much sense for all involved for it not too happen. But I envision a long, drawn out, painful saga.

I still think this is going to be a long summer transfer saga. Dortmund didn't budge with Sancho and they not going to give away Haaland that cheaply either. Not many clubs can really afford that fee at this time around (including us)

Disagree, I think Haaland went out of his way to show in that Dortmund game he is more than someone who is stood on the shoulder of a defender.

He dropped in and out of midfield, popped passes around, great ball through for the Reus goal for example.

Pep has said many times before, anyone can get better technically. No matter your age or experience. What you can't teach is instinct, being 6ft+ and being freakishly fast and strong.
Tend to agree with you. In those games I saw a player who switched tactics to become provider rather than goal scorer.

Somewhere between £65M and £90M release clause in 2022 if rumours are to be believed. Cash in our Sancho sell on this summer and we could get him for less than £100M in the next transfer window, maybe significantly less...

Whatever happens, the player will dictate where he goes.

Can’t see even going to £90 million for haaland let alone over £100 million and pep as already said he won’t pay and we also don’t get held to ransom either so I would imagine this transfer and also the Harry Kane and lukaku deals won’t happen and the striker we do bring in will be a shock to everyone but I trust that n our recruitment that we will get it right .

Good player, potentially great, but in the current financial climate I simply don’t see us signing him this summer.
I agree.
For that sort of money you want a top drawer player to come in firing from the off and i'm not sure if he's ready to do that just yet.
The bundesliga isn't the premier league, just ask Werner!

The cliches at this point are just exhausting to respond, especially when they are made by some of the same people who refuse to understand or consider some basic things. But carry on

We can.

Lol it’s not worth it anymore
They don’t understand how the money invested is smart, especially in our situation. I don’t blame them because it takes a bit of cynicism and business understanding, but we have already explained it over and over again, and they stick to the same shallow points
